He later called me to get the other dealers lowest price that he would match it, of course I said no thanks. My only setback is the Dealers lifetime power train warranty if I service my vehicle at their place which is a 45 min drive.

Chesapeake, dealer was First Team but Priority Honda Hampton was willing to match. On my initial call they quoted me $1600 off Invoice.

In most states you don’t pay sales tax on your trade in value. Don’t get me wrong, the price in the post 2 posts up is a really great price, but if you are looking at out the door price, you must realize that they didn’t pay sales tax on $20,500 of the purchase. It would be best to look at the vehicle price with everything included except tax since tax on vehicle purchases can vary drastically for lots of reasons.
Actually, I don’t think the buyer paid any sales tax since their state has no sales tax.

I had been looking at a number of different vehicles as well so had had my trade appraised 4 other times (one time being another Honda dealer trying to also sell me a PP but I walked away from that deal). The range in trade value from other dealers was $18k to $19.8k before I made this deal. So I was obviously very happy with the final deal.
