Some of you may or may not know, but having worked in the Automotive industry for over 15 years, including at a Dodge Dealership and an OEM Parts supplier; the dealer still makes a ton of money selling at "Invoice" price; first they do not pay invoice price for a vehicle (they pay less) and second dealers get money back on each vehicle they sell.

So don't let them tell you they are not making any money selling at invoice...
Well known fact. hmm, car lot taxes cost is huge, Owner, GM and make 6 or more digits easy, all staff salary, sales- office- service, utilities (think what it cost to heat or cool your house x Size of dealership) etc etc etc.. they whine they lose money(y)

does anyone have any experience on Hondacare on accessories - would I have to buy it and have it installed at the same time/dealer to qualify? (e.g. appear in the original invoice with the vehicle)

I'm considering the Running boards with lights, or even illuminated door sill trim.
- (and would want the lights to be covered by honda care if they ever break).
Sorry off topic. Be careful with body add on’s. Just be sure to photograph the vehicle when a manager is present and then check when you get it back. Bought an 07 Ridgeline new and had fender flares put on. 2 lousy paint jobs later I took a huge loss to offload it. They totally denied scratching the paint but offered to fix it. After the 2nd bad paint I demanded a new vehicle. They told me get lost. Oh, Honda of Lisle if anyone cares. Stay away
