I'm pissed !!!!! I was supposed to take delivery tomorrow on my 2019 Passport and I was told that Honda can not let more off the lots until the telematics are updated. He could not give me a delivery date. I am rethinking getting this vehicle ...PISSED !!!!!!!

I guess it's better than taking it home and having the issue. Unless you got a discount I would pull our
 
Honda already has $1000 of my deposit $. I took a day off to get my car delivered and I got a call at 5:15 PM from the salesperson stating there was a "glitch" ... He tried to explain the telematics update issue. When I asked when the update could happen, he didn't have an answer. Probably in a matter of days, he said. I have to call my insurance company and put everything on hold.
What would be my chances of recovering my deposit because Honda can't deliver a car in prime working order as promised ? This is not good !!!

I think if you want to stop the deal you can. They were suppose to deliver it on a certain date and could not come through. I guess you have to decide. I would be suprised if they tried to withhold your deposit.

But you could also ask for a gift for your hassle. Get them up throw you an accessory you want. Something to bring back that happy new car feeling

Yes, they need to comp you for your time. Like the money you lost from work.
At least for the amount of money and your own time is valuable. If they don't comp you for
it in a discount or accessories. Then Pull out since they failed on their promise to you, for you to leave the deposit in the first place. They owe you something.
 
My delivery has been delayed as well. Got this e-mail from my salesman today:

“My manager spoke to a Honda representative today regarding the Passports and the status - as many customers are in the same boat as you and curious when they will show up here. It appears Honda is fixing the issue prior to them transporting to us. That being said, now it may be looking into possibly next week before seeing them. The date on the delivery has changed to the 15th now, but of course, that is subject to change”
 
It's probably because the stakes are high and production/sales schedules have to be met to compete. The "TCU Product Update" could just be adding Hondalink functionality or new menu items to the infotainment. In that case it would be foolish to delay production and sales for a minor update. I don't know exactly what it is, but I'll agree that the word "recall" could make someone feel uncomfortable.
It’s definitely not an infotainment issue. My dealer will not release any Passports (including mine) until the recall fix is complete. No estimated time for this to happen and for me to take delivery. Having second thoughts.
 
Mine which I have already taken delivery on is being fixed tomorrow. Will see how long it takes. Apparently, the ones on the dealer lot have already been completed.
Not mine. I’m under the impression that a module needs replacing or updating. My dealer could not give me a time that I can take delivery on the vehicle. I give them a week, tops.
