I went to my dealer service dept this morning because I had a minor issue with my driver side mirror moving on its own everytime I opened the door from the parked locked position...easy fix ..it had to do with the memory seating..any way as they where writing my order in their system a recall pops up and she asked me if I want to take care of it now...of course I said yes....when I asked her what was the recall she said it was some module that controls many systems in the car ,all I could remember right now is the at&t hot spot and honda link and a whole bunch of other ones ....I was at the dealer for about three hours ...the work order said( telematics control unit update )and (TGS -A11 control unit) ...just wanted to let all of you guys waiting for your passports to ask about it before you take your baby home....

I just wanted to make it clear that I knew the mirror was a minor issue I just didn't know it was linked to the memory seats..it was quicker to pass by my dealer which is only 10 minutes away to get it fixed than me reading the manual.my salesman even offered to have someone come to my house to pick up the car and take it to the service dept.for me and bring it back.I just didn't want to be left with out a car for the day..and as for the recall they happen sometimes ..this one was not as bad as some ..my Ridgeline I think had a bad one which they had to keep the car for two days to replace a faulty rear wire harness that was letting water into the plug connectors and shorting out the main computer on the truck..I was told they needed to remove the whole rear bed to get to the harness...Another thing I noticed at the dealer while I was waiting is that they had two new passports parked on the side of the service station with recall signs on the windshields so I think it would be a smart thing for dealers to take care of the problem before letting someone drive off the lot with one..

Hey finz72 I know your upset ,I would be too but take it from someone who has the car and went thru the recall already the car is all worth the wait....they are going to try their best to talk you out of a refund ..just make it work for you ..make them offer you something...

wow, just on the Piloteers forum and found a thread dated 8-3-18 on page 11 about a member who had just purchased a 2019 honda pilot touring and had to return it to the dealer because the hot spot and honda link and emergency button was not working???? I wonder how long honda new about the problem and why would they let the Passports make it to the dealers before fixing the problem....

I would either go to the dealer or call the salesman that sold you the car and ask if the telematics control unit module and software update recall was done before you got the car and as for your nav it could be part of the software update or a simple fix in your settings..
