What did they do to fix it? The screenshot you show just says they couldn't duplicate it.
I was wondering the same thing. I think the NPF at the end of the work order typically means No Problem Found? What exactly does "Cycled All Connections on Most Network" mean? @passdp - did the service advisor give you a verbal description of what they did? Hard to tell if they switched through audio sources by pressing buttons on the LCD screen (e.g. FM, AM, bluetooth, carplay, sirius, etc.), or if they simply plugged an audio device into every USB input on the car? All / none of the above?

Took mine to the dealer and they fixed the issue! Here’s what is listed on my service order.

I thought the same when I read this, but it’s basically saying after they did whatever they had to do to fix or update the Most Network after they had to get to certain hardware components listed on the service order as well. Sounds like software/hardware issues. It says it “cannot be duplicated” after they did those updates which is what that means. So all and all it’s now fixed.

I have had my new 2019 Passport for about three weeks. Twice now the infotainment system stopped working. Both times, I was using Apple Play and Waze. A loud beep came on and then nothing. No Apple Play, no radio, ...nothing. The display was on (in fact it wouldn't turn off even when the car was off) and I was not able to use the radio (check tuner message appeared) or an other features. When I would try to check Bluetooth I got a message that said the car was still in motion even though I was parked. I took it to the dealer who took out a fuse and reset the system. That worked for about two days and then it happened again. Any ideas? I have an appointment at the dealership but I am not optimistic. I do not want to have to reset the fuse every time I use Waze. I have read on other forums that using a USB keyboard to Cntl-Alt-Del will also work to reset the system but who wants to keep a keyboard in their car? Is anyone else having this problem?
We have a Elite model that the Infotainment system went out after one week. While driving the system went dark and there is a static sound from the speakers. Dealership is ordering a new wiring harness from factory hoping that will fix issues. 4th day without new vehicle.

Hello folks!
I have the same popping sound problem. Usually, it didn’t really bother me because it goes out after a minute or maximum of two minutes.? But not last night though.? Last night was the worst and the longest of all. I arrived at my destination and it’s still doing it. Who knows when will that thing stop?
FM, AM, Bluetooth, it’s there.?
Not sure about CarPlay, I haven’t tried it on that. But, this is too much now. I’ll be giving my dealership a visit soon. Hope they give me a good deal with rental cars too.?

By the way, I do have that factory “enhanced security system” installed.
I was wondering if only of us, with that “enhanced security system” are having these sound system issue??

Omg this is too strange, i was just about to write everyone to let them know about my adventure to the dealer to help me turn off the touch screen as it wouldnt shut off and then i read this thread it describes exactly what happened to me. Except the dealer disconnected the battery to reset the system and it is back to factory settings.

I was using waze and carplay when it happened. Now what? I dont think i will chance waze again!
It isn't Waze. It is the car. Me thinks it is a connection problem. Filmed the problem. Screen flickers on camera. Intermittent systems shut down. Intermittent screen of/on and instrument panel with and without bumps.

Ditto. It was a VERY close call for me.
It is not an app problem. It is the car.
Goodbye Waze. Not taking the chance. Thanks for the info everyone. I will use google maps or my or my cars Garmin. This is when reading the forums can pay off.
It is the car not waze. my new passport intermittent infotain screen black out instrument pane blacks out speaker black out radio backout data black out infotain screen stays in after locking doors for an extended period of time. i suggest it is electrical or hardware. Filmed my problems will be at dealer Monday.

Hello! I have never had Waze and mine still messes up. It is the pic I posted that when those 2 boxes get unchecked on blue tooth - carplay will not work. They just randomly uncheck themselves. Could not get the problem to duplicate at dealer. System is fully updated. Then I had the issue with the transmission. I was on a hill, let off brake it did not hold at all - barely rolled back and made a noise and the Passport motor was dead and the car went into Neutral. Did this twice with me could not duplicate at dealer. Had an issue that sometimes when the A/C was on auto, it would not cool, I had to switch to A/C on. Many years ago I had a Pilot and did not have the first problem with it at all. The front seat comfort in the passport on long drives is not what I expected but I think that is me and not the Passport. I love the AWD system and some other features but all of these other things are really annoying. I do not get it - it is mainly a shorter, wider, Higher Pilot and should not have these issues. It was aggravating me and I was concerned that if this turns out to be subpar quality, you can forget that great Honda value that they all retain. I stopped by a Ford Dealer ship and looked at the 2019 Ford Ranger 4X4. Drove it. The Passport is just a tad smoother on a slow take off but Wow!, that lil 2.3 Eco Boost would haul butt and gets 20 mpg in town and 24 on hwy. Seats are very comfortable up front, no where near the room in the back but I hardly have that many in back seat, we usually are hauling gear or dogs. I hate losing money and did not think that they would do much but they got me right above the amount I was willing to eat so I traded and they had to get it from another dealer and I pick it up today. I think Honda has great reliability but just too many problems with mine with 1,400 miles on it. I will miss the Passport and hope that all of you get all the kinks worked out of yours so that you can enjoy them to their fullest. I do have the pics of the Bluetooth settings that you need to make sure are checked so that carplay works. Just reply on this or to my e-mail and I will be glad to send them to you. chuck.rey@live.com .
RE: Ranger. That vehicle is a cheap imitation of a mid sized truck. I don't trust the longevity of the little motor and turbo if anything heavier than air is towed. I am a FORD man. 2015 GT 1996 F250 diesel 1982 Mustang 1975 Mustang 1979 F250 460

So, my car stopped on the uphill. Seems like similar condition with you!! I’m on a lease and not sure how to trade-in this unreliAble car ?

Hello! I have the 2019 Passport Elite and everything worked fine for the first 2 weeks then I used the Nav system and now siri will not work in my carplay. Carplay comes up on the screen and you can push the buttons but when you try and tell her to do something she either says that she cannot hear you or has lost her internet connection but in reality she has not as I can unplug her and ask the same question and she will answer. The mic in the Passport works. I have done factory reset on radio and iPhone. Been on the phone over 2 hours with Apple support and cannot figure it out - any suggestions? Other than that, I really like the Passport. Thanks!
Mine does this constantly, I have found a work a round, but this is nuts on a new car.

If you have the car turned on and the phone plugged into the carplay USB slot, you can do a hard reset on the phone and Siri will work again, for a while,

I have had nothing but trouble with carplay, mine completely shut down while driving down the interstate yesterday. The whole thing, FM radio would not even work. I had to pull over and restart the car 3 times to get it back.

i have been having this same issue w carplay and my iphone ten cant wait till they fix it. its an important feature to me as well.
let me know if dealer fixes it in one attempt, but they ont fix it till its acknowledge by honda

Prospective buyer here. Does anyone know whether this problem occurs in the base Sport model, or is it confined to the higher trim levels with Carplay and enhanced display?
In US, the base sport model does not have Apple Carplay or Android Auto, So the answer to your question would be yes, not on the sport. Canada is a different story. I have an Ex-L and use Android Auto without any problems. Good luck on your next purchase.

It appears you are accepting of systemic problems?

1st week of ownership, was using Waze via Apple Carplay and ended up freezing the infotainment unit. It seemingly happened at random. I did not provide any user input and was using Waze and Amazon Prime Music Streaming at the time of the occurrence. I too received an audible beep and then silence. At this point, I couldn't even use the AM/FM radio ("App" wouldn't load) function but oddly enough, I still retained usage of Sirius sat radio and most of the menu navigation control but nothing else would load. After arriving at my work, when I turned off the engine and opened the door, I noticed that the infotainment unit did not power down. Later in the day, I did some research on other forums and to your comment, found the thread on using a USB keyboard. (Sidenote: Another work around was to turn down the screen brightness to the off position until you can properly reboot the unit.) I grabbed one from the office, plugged it in the USB port, did the ol' Cntrl+Alt+Del and the infotainment unit went through the reboot sequence and was working fine after that.

After some additional forum research, I too found that Apple Carplay in general has been historically buggy with not only the Honda Infotainment units which makes sense that essentially you're trying to marry 2 software systems to each other which is often times is a mixed bag of results for the consumer.

Because of my worry of battery drain should I dare to use Waze/Carplay while on a roadtrip, I'm thinking of experimenting with finding a portable/folding USB keybaord to enable me to manually reboot the infotainment unit should experience this again outside of my home area.
