Let us know what they find. Mine is not working either and I'm at a loss ....
Well everybody , got my touring back from the dealership service dept after nine days . Factory engineers finally found the problem. It was Brake boost pressure sensor., volts, replace pcm an recode it. Also replace harnesses line #3 an #4. Whatever that means . Not happy with Honda factory .???. No problem with dealership .

Mine has activated two or three times shortly after purchase, but not in the last week. Waiting for the weather to warm up before making assumptions as I suspect it is because I've been making shorter trips and the below freezing temps overnight hasn't allowed the battery to keep topped up.

If its cold and you have the heater (climate control) on, I think that will knock out Auto Idle Stop.

The few times it came on was when the heat was on, so I didn't figure that was the only condition.
There are so many conditions/variables that impact when it might or might not activate, I've given up trying to predict it :). I've discovered it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would, so I just leave it on.

My CR-Z was much more predictable, but it was also a hybrid so the engine stop was pretty much guaranteed unless the battery was low.

I had accessories put on today. My Elite idle stop was not working at all. I asked them to take a look at it while it was in. They said they had to do a reset in the computer. It works now. Hate it? I will turn it off each time. Just feel everything on a car should work when you pay the big bucks.

I’ve noticed that if I have the cooling seats on the auto stop will not activate.

BA...

Are these seats actually cooled or are they strictly ventilated?
curious on that too. not a fan of the seats and will look at putting real leather ones in for sure.

I've driven my Touring AWD a couple hundred miles now and the auto start/stop feature has activated a total of two times. Either it is really weak and I can barely feel it most of the time or something is off because I'm used to it activating when pressing and holding the brake hard at a 4 way stop intersection...

I'm not sure if I should consider this a blessing or if I should have it looked at.

Update: Was driving today. I shut off the climate control system completely because its a nice day and wouldn't you know, the Auto Idle Stop started working again. I can't say for sure if this "fixed" the issue but its back to working …. Go figure.
Thanks for the post. I also found that the Passport AIS on my car does not work if the climate control is set to LO. When I set the temp to 58, it started to work again. Honda should investigate this possible connection.

Oh - I had my ‘ventilated seat’ on yesterday, it was about 79* and there was no airflow in the seat!

The owners manual literally states having the climate control set to HI or LO as one of the reasons it will definitely not work. Investigation complete.
