Mine has activated two or three times shortly after purchase, but not in the last week. Waiting for the weather to warm up before making assumptions as I suspect it is because I've been making shorter trips and the below freezing temps overnight hasn't allowed the battery to keep topped up.

The few times it came on was when the heat was on, so I didn't figure that was the only condition.If its cold and you have the heater (climate control) on, I think that will knock out Auto Idle Stop.
My CR-Z was much more predictable, but it was also a hybrid so the engine stop was pretty much guaranteed unless the battery was low.
