I believe Honda is continuing to bring down noise levels in the Pilot/Passport lines, at least with the upper trims. My 2012 Pilot was quieter than my 2005 (my least favorite attribute of the older Pilots), and the Passport seems to be better still. The main reason I was considering a luxury brand was interior noise, and so far I’m happy with my decision to stay with Honda from that perspective.

Okay, I've got a "hate." I hate that I can't permanently disable the Auto-off thing. We shouldn't have to remember to push the button EVERY SINGLE TIME we start the car.

Just test drove Passport Touring for about 2 hrs without the salesman in the car...My wife and I were very impressed...quiet..plenty of power on the highway...Took it over some very bad side streets...felt solid...Seats are very comfortable...arm rests..captains chairs..were very comfortable...(I had my doubts about the arm rests)..Definitely considering buying an Elite at end of this year..waiting for dealer prices to settle down and any vehicle bugs worked out.
I have a 2010 Acura MDX...about the same size as the new Passport...I open the garage door when I want to get to the back storage area..I never saw that as a problem.....I live in the Dallas area...Is your location extremely cold in the winter?

Ahhh! The peace and quiet. All the better to enjoy that great audio system. I just picked up my obsidian blue pearl Elite today in Vermont. What to hate about all of the other Hondas I've owned over the last 33 years: road noise. What to love about my new Passport: absence of same. Though it doesn't exactly handle like a Prelude, it does seem quite a bit more nimble than the Pilots I've had as loaners. So, for the time being at least, I have found nothing to kvetch about and I proclaim my unconditional love for my new Passport.
What software update? Service guy called today and said the slipping transmission was a “normal variant” that could be fixed by a software update that Honda has no signs of releasing anytime within the next year. Is that the same software update you’re talking about ?

Sorry for your troubles but some dealers have crummy service departments. I have had my share of them. Time to find a new dealer and call Honda and let them know how your being treated. Good luck

After 2-days of ownership, here are some random thoughts:
1) Steering Wheel could be a little bit larger Diameter
2) Should have a 360 degree Bird's Eye View option
3) Should have an option where you can switch the Rear-view Mirror to a outside rear Camera, so if your cargo area is full and blocking your view - you can still see behind you (like the RAV4 has).
4) Should have a function to fold the outside mirrors when you lock the doors.
5) Should have left enough space under the rear cargo area to hold a full size spare and go ahead and make that full size spare tire/rim an accessory.
6) Should have a Convertor in the back to plug in A/C powered devices (like the RAV4 has).
Gimme some time and I'll come up with more (Are you listening HONDA?)

A good possibility some of these may be implemented in the 2020 model. I currently have a 2018 Chevy Equinox I'm thinking of trading in on a Passport Touring model. The Equinox has two features I'd really miss ... the 360 degree Bird's Eye camera view and a programmable lift gate height feature. These two things are what's giving me second thought about a new Passport.

Back to things I like: the little cubbies behind the wheel wells have come in handy. I’ve stuck a few loose items (baseball cap, gloves) that I used to just throw in the back seat. Good place for a few items from the grocery store, although too small for a full bag. Still, a thoughtful use of what was somewhat wasted space in my old Honda SUV.
Also, the remote lock feature is more convenient than the one in my wife’s car. With hers, you have to touch the door handle to lock (or use the key fob). I like just walking away and having it look for me.

I agree with these. I'd also like the ability to turn on the backup camera if I want to (at least at low speed) to help with parking. The "straight down" view comes in handy but is only activated if in Reverse. I'd like to see it when pulling in too, not just pulling out.
