I've been driving about 8 different honda vehicles in the last 17 years
00 Honda Civic LX
02 Honda Odyssey LX
04 Honda Accord EX
08 Honda Accord EXL
15 Honda Civic EXL Coupe
16 Honda Civic Touring
17 Honda Pilot Elite
18 Honda Fit EX
Kinda at the moment trying the New Kia Telluride SX... the MPG, tech, Pano Moonroof, Better speakers, 7 seaters, Price is all above Passport the only thing is the value later down the road and the reliability i don't know if it's going to last like honda...

Owner of an Elite for about one month. About 1/2 of that time it was at the dealers for repairs. Old man Honda would not like to hear that. (n)

The last two nights been driving back from my daughter's & son-in-law's home. The head lights are first class. They really light up the road! (y)

Sometimes when I get in and press the brake to start the engine it's hard to press (like it was pressed with the ignition off and can't be pressed anymore) and sometimes it presses down just fine. Not sure why that would be.

5k miles, and my likes dislikes

+I prefer this engine/transmission to my 2012 Pilot, at least in regular Drive (not Sport) mode.
+Handles better than the Pilot, too.
+Looks better than the Pilot, too...and still manages to have plenty of room.
+Apple CarPlay: Given my driving habits, Waze is a must-have, although the Garmin Navigation system is much improved over my old Pilot.
-I miss having a rear window that opens independent of the tailgate.
-Center armrests are too small for me.
-Inability to remote start from the HondaLink app. Why pay for it?
-Side mirrors need to fold/unfold automatically when car is locked. Numerous times I’ve forgotten to do so, and either have to turn the car back on, or find myself driving with no side mirrors!

I think the side mirrors should automatically open (if closed) once a certain speed is hit, the same way the automatic door locks work.

That would definitely be an improvement. I realize now that with back up cameras, I don’t rely on side mirrors as much as I used to when backing out of a parking space. I bet I’m not the only one.

Now, there’s a good idea. But with the button being the type that locks in/locks out, it would require a different bit of hardware and some programming which in Honda’s eyes would probably push it over $50k.

I had a 2014 Lexus RX350 SUV. The mirrors could be set to automatically fold in when the ignition was turned off, and automatically fold open when the ignition was turned on. It wasn't possible to program to open at a certain speed as we can with the door locks. Perhaps someone could figure how to tap into the door lock circuit for those who want the mirrors to fold out at a speed.

This is the exact vehicle that my wife has and I LOVE the mirrors-close-when-door-locked feature.

I am holding out hope that Honda will add this as a software update.. Perhaps we can start requesting it directly from Honda, although I would not put it past them adding to the Honda Link so they can charge monthly for something they should have given us in the first place...

The one I thing I truly "hate" has got to be the approximately 1.5 second delay of the transmission engaging when shifting from reverse to drive. It really irritates me for some reason. Safety issue as well in my opinion. Outside of that, so far so good!

Does it happen when the engine/transmission hot or cold? Or both?

I have that issue too. Doesn't matter, hot or cold. Just takes too long to engage drive. I live off a main road and have to back out sometimes. This vehicle you have to allow extra time to back out and get going again. Not a fan of the electronic shifter.

I’m gonna have to check this out and see if dealer will let me test drive home. I’m on a busy street where if I don’t back in have little chance to get out
