After thinking about it, for those times that I use a valet key (mostly at parking garages/lots where you have to leave the key), I can just separate the key fob. Lock the glove box with the key; give the other part that operates the car to the attendant.

This leaves a lesser issue of the attendant not having a loop to attach an ID tag, if needed.

Did you have another use in mind?
I worry that fob gets misplaced by valet service and so like to have my fob just in case. Also nice to have 3rd fob for contingency plan if misplace the other fobs.

I thought the same when I tried parking in my garage with the door slightly open. I mentioned it to my sales person. He said it's because I didn't have the seat belt fastened. He was right. I didn't realize I unfastened it as I pulled into the garage. If I keep it fastened, I can drive forward or reverse with the door open.
Good to know. Now will hit the car jacker with my door both times running him over and then backing over him. Fantastic!
Thanks
