Honda has had 2 trials for repair.
If you only have radio loss, then why are y
Honda has had 2 times to fix the menu of problems. The vehicle drove a little over 1000 miles after the first attempted fix. We are hoping, as we are unsure, the repair has been made. We like the vehicle. We as of yet not had a loner. The unit has been with Honda collectively more than 10 days of inconvenience given that the problem is not isolated to one vehicle andthe loss of the speedometer a safety issue recognixzed by Honda. Honda gets one more opportunity to make right if the need arises.
Loaner at times appears to be a dealer decision..
One of my dealer decisions is not only PRICE but also loaner policy.. I always call service before buying a vehicle and ask their policy on loaners. If the answer is anything beyond.. WE PROVIDE A LOANER IF THE REPAIR IS expected to be longer than 3 hours.... then i look for another dealer in the area to buy from..
One dealer started the well we call honda na and ask them if it will be covered... I move on immediately.. If they had the best price another dealer will typically meet or beat it.
I have looked at loaner policy for the last 40 years.. It is a business model that some dealers think is important and others do not.... Also I have begun to make sure te dealer offers the brand of vehicle I have purchased. I do not want to have a volvo or mercedes and have them pay for or provide a nissan or a ford.. I want the size and safety and comfort of what I purchased not just 4 wheels... Some dealers now have an enterprise or similar rental concession in their building.. They pay the bill but it is whatever the rental company has for vehicles.
I hope your vehicle is fixed!!
Loaner for a malfunctioning radio... Honda must think there is more to it or they would not have the car for 12 days at this point in time.. THE VIDEO from my cell phone is solid gold as to proof of problem.. and the dealership values that proof in their dealing with honda NA.. THe dealer is my advocate.......
Malfunctioning radio takes your eyes off the road while trying to correct... a very real safety issue..
YMMV
