I love my "Elite" trim, but hate all the hard plastic especially the rear door panels are completely PVC plastic. Cheap feeling. Need more "soft-touch" added to doors for this higher price point. Also, and this is huge to me... all the little storage cubby-bins in the front doors do not have any silicone or rubber liners. Even felt would help. So even a small item moves around and "tings" or "ticks" in the doors (read: rattles around). I'm coming out of a Volkswagen and they did those little extra steps. For $44,000 I expect those little things. The lack of Remote start from your smart phone also is very disappointing.

Wow, you're right! I found the overhead light and the switch was OFF! Thanks!

As for the sport mode, would the transmission remain in Sport mode after a shut down? I have to try tonight...
No, because you have to put in Park first. And first option out of Park is Drive.

So there are customizable settings for the mirrors, driver's seat settings, and keyless entry settings for each key fob. Has anyone seen a list of settings that can be customized by driver? I don't see anything in the manual.

The manual you get with the car is not the "complete" manual. Download the full manual on the Honda Owners site. You can also order a printed copy of the full owner manual and navigation manual within the first 6 months of ownership. The customiizable settinge are covered in detail in the full manual.

Thanks for the reply. I have downloaded the manual and have been through it several times. The manual covers very well which settings can be customized. My question is which of these settings is variable based on the key fob that is used. Some things change with the key fob (eg. keyless entry settings) but are ALL settings variable? Just those under "Vehicle" settings? Where can we find out the specific list of things that change other than by trial and error? I certainly could have missed it, so please point out a page number if it's there.

Is “brake hold” when you press the brake to the floor while at a standstill (like a stoplight), and then let your foot off and the car remains brakes until you press the accelerator? If so, that’s a feature I really like, but thought was only available on luxury cars.
It doesn’t hold it until you hit the gas, it only holds it for a few seconds and then releases. It’s actually called “hill-hold”...

My 16’Civic Touring had the “brake hold” that once activated by a button (the hill-hold is automated) and coming to a complete stop, it will hold the brake until you hit the gas or, if enough time passes by, the system will activate the electronic parking brake.

Two things I dislike...
-no way to disable the Auto-Shut Off for good
-no Low Speed Follow for the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) like my Civic did

Nothing else I can think of...

While I won't say these are things I "hate" but I wish the steering wheel had the thumb notches and I also wish the mirrors would fold automatically. I always seem to remember to fold them in AFTER the vehicle is turned off.

Some little things I like:

The folding hooks above the back doors that allow me to hang my suit jacket. I think my 2005 Pilot was my last car to have one; my 2012 Pilot did not.

The sliding tray in the center console. I think it’s meant for a cellphone, but it’s really not big enough for mine. It is big enough for me to put a few pens and my ID badge from work, and I don’t have to dig around in console to find it.

The 2012-era Pilot had a shelf above the glove compartment. This required the glove compartment to sit so low I would hit my shins on it the rare occasions I sat on that side. Thank goodness they got rid of that shelf with the current Passport/Pilot.

The heated seats don’t seem to come on with remote start in the cold at least not the driver side. I haven’t actually sat in the passenger seat to see. I don’t think the indicate lights come on with the remote to show they are on (correct me if I’m wromg on that) but the seat is cold so I can tell they aren’t coming on. They do the random coming on once I actually push button start.
The seats, either heated or cooling, come on when you remote start. Once you push the Start button the lights will illuminate. The outside temperature drives the heating/cooling cycle. If you are getting random seat heat activation you have a maintenance issue

In other car forums there are solutions to your noise issue.. One is to purchase a flat rubber-type sheet and cut to fit. maybe found at a hobby store or Walmart. or imagination required.

I've looked. Not easy to find and "rubber" can be very stinky!
I bought some 1/8" think rubber adhesive backed 1" wide tape, and it smells. The ideal material would be silicone! (soft, pliable and not smelly)
They make "cubby bin" liners for Accord and Civic.... I'm waiting for this to come to Passport. The kits I saw even had a glove box liner for the bottom. I will buy instantly.

The Passport is a very quiet vehicle... but the bins and glove box are all slippery - Hard plastic. It's a symphony of noise with the Tire gauge, a pen and a little spare change (for tolls) rattling around on every brake/accelerate and turn motion.

I’m waiting for the same for the PP (cubby bin liners) last little road trip I got a plastic rubber placemat from Target and cut it up for the bins and it did fine and no smell or annoying little noises / might even pass on the PP specific ones when they come out if they r too much / idea, anyways

Note: I said 'rubber-like". There are small sheets that are of a soft plastic that I have seen in other car forums to fix the same problem you have. I searched but could not find any immediate threads.

As a secondary solution, the Michael's stores (hobby-type retail), have 9" X 12" felt sheets that are adhesive backed (or not) $1.10 and $0.40 respectively . See attached photo. Just cut to shape and apply. I hope this helps.
