Bingo. Me too. But it's a pain in the butt to switch back and forth. We should be able to push a button to turn on the camera. Heck, it works that way on the Acura RDX so it can work that way on the Passport.I find myself putting the car in reverse just to see if I’m between the lines!
But is putting it in reverse so much different than pushing a button? Well, I guess it’s pulling a button. Quite different indeed.Bingo. Me too. But it's a pain in the butt to switch back and forth. I don’t like taxing (maybe too strong a word) the transmission by unnecessarily switching gears. But is putting it in reverse so much different than pushing a button? Well, I guess it’s pulling a button. Quite different indeed.
I’ve not had that issue.I’m probably the only one with this issue but there is an annoying .. I don’t even know what the word is .. squeak? squeal? .. friction related noise of some sort it seems coming from my drivers seat. I don’t know if it’s in the seat back, the lumbar, the seat bottom, the seat position hardware, no idea. But whenever I shift my body around it seems to make this noise. Kinda annoying. Like maybe it’s needs grease somewhere.
No, no.... that's not what I mean. I want to be able to turn the camera on and LEAVE IT ON while I'm parking, regardless of whether I'm in Drive or in Reverse. Currently I pull into a spot (for example), then I have to flip the R button JUST TO SEE THE CAMERA, then go into Drive to pull up a bit, then flip the R button to see again, then go into Drive, etc. Does that make sense? But is putting it in reverse so much different than pushing a button?
Don’t tell Donna.Had crazy thing happen with the Collision Mitigation braking. Was driving 65 mph on a 2 lane highway and the way the road made a bend and at that moment a semi-truck was coming in the other direction it looked for a second like we were head-to-head. The Collision flashed braking on the screen and tapped the brakes twice. Scared me a little - at least it just tapped the brakes. Also the cross traffic monitoring seems to be have long range. I was parked at a gas station and went to back up and it was alerting me to traffic coming on the main road which was a pretty good distance away not like traffic come up the lane in a parking lot - I'm not good at judging distance I bet the distance was a least 3x the width of a parking lot lane. Had to stop and look around to see what I wasn't seeing that sensors were. Sometimes all the beeps make me jump a little LOL! Guess the day it saves me from an accident I will be truly grateful! Just takes some getting used to!
On my last road trip to Arizona, the Lane Assist kept telling me "Steering Required" but I was just driving on a really straight road. Had to wiggle the wheel to make the computer realize I was still there.Sometimes the ACC thinks a slope up ahead is a car. That’s kind of annoying.
That’s funny asf ?Don’t tell Donna.
Ford does the same thing. If it thinks your not paying attention it will flash a message telling me to grab the wheel. real pita when the lil lady bitches about my driving then the car does the same thingOn my last road trip to Arizona, the Lane Assist kept telling me "Steering Required" but I was just driving on a really straight road. That was one thing I really liked on the RDX I was considering. I wish we had that.I miss the brake hold that I had on my CRV
