Thanks I was concerned with how easy the left rear and right rear roof rail cover pops off. I have all my tools but new to DIY projects so do not want to injure my little guy. Although I bought blue tape to cover area and just in case genuine honda factory touch up paint. I have my directions all set but a little nervous. My cross bars arrive today if the UPS guy is not lagging.

Looking forward to hear how your install goes.
Thanks,
Pdog
You will rock it of course and here’s to no damage / good luck ?? (and to stephenson too)

I was able to pop the cover off with a thin flat head screwdriver. Takes a bit of force. There are 2 posts. One comes out with wedging the screwdriver in at the end and lifting up. Then sliding the cover toward the back to the vehicle. No damage thankfully.

Ok, installed crossbars. Very simple job - 15 mins. The only caution is the rear trim pieces. Look at diagram to understand that they are removed with rearward and upward travel (rear of the piece moves in an upward rotation). Not a lot of force required. I used a plastic spatula to lift rear of the trim piece to start removal. The small torx screw that secures the trim fastens into a plastic tab under/inside the trim piece. One of mine was stripped. The threads are in plastic, use very little torque to retighten upon reinstalling. Just snug them.
Rear tire make a great place to stand and work from. Good luck.

My update was not as successful. My plastic tab was smooshed also on right side. Probably it was bender the robot. I was successful with getting the trim piece off both sides and all 4 screws. Unfortunately my cross bar was damaged and did not realize until got everything off. Got everything back on but no crossbars. Got my surf board attachment also but could not assemble until get my crossbars on. Trial run went well besides glitch. Thanks for all suggestions and updates.

Today IT got, running boards (black no LED), mud flaps (aka splash guards), all weather mats, cargo mat, edge guards, and the moon roof visor (not what I was told and don’t think I will like it).

I was expecting a shade so when I have the moon roof open mid day I’m not getting sunburned. I have a feeling this won’t stay on very long. Anyone possibly interested in purchasing it? Based in Huntington Beach, CA. However will be in a Vegas this weekend, Ventura next week, San Jose 5/2-6/12 and Burbank 6/14-6/26 ish...

Got this clear bra put on today before all my road trips. Was going to wait until I got home the end of June, but Craig at Elite Clear Bra wouldn’t let me drive my Elite on the highway without protection!

If you are ever in need and in the OC,CA area - they do amazing work and you should for sure check them out!

Love the small shop vibe vs a big corporate company!

Thanks for the referral StevenD!

And took the stupid moon roof visor off. Will see if the dealer refunds it for me!

New tires and wheels for me today. Petrol P1B wheels with Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S tires.

That’s where I am getting my locks put on!

Had an exterior detail today. They removed the waterspots caused from sitting on the dealer's lot, polished and waxed. I've never had a professional detail, I've always done it myself but I couldn't have done it so well.

Swapped out most of the interior lights with the Sirius LEDs mentioned in other posts. Still have to do the vanity mirror lights, the reverse lights, and hoping to brighten up the ambient lighting with blue LED bulbs. Also loaded up the hard drive with hours of music files.
I’ve got an Elite too - where ARE the ambient lights??

Only on dark sky ride is that possible. So cool!

They probably use those prices as a loss leader and large volume keeps the cash flow going and make up the profit somewhere else. Other dealers do the same.

Anyone know if College Hills Honda is totally legit?
I've not ordered from College Hills, but have ordered from other OEM sellers. Compare prices for other Honda OEM sellers. The prices are in the ball park. If it is a Honda dealership, it is OEM parts unless it specifies otherwise. Shipping cost varies, depending on delivery destination. They may recoup some profit via their shipping rates?

My local dealer matched their price on splash guards. Said they would match prices as long as they don't lose money. They require a printed copy of the webpage, and will not match Ebay prices.

The ambient lights are in the footwells for the driver and passenger. They are not very bright and can be hard to notice. There is also a light strip around the cup holders.
I modified mine to allow more light. They are very dim from the factory due to a nearly black lens covering the foot well lights. I took them out and popped the lens off (easy) and drilled them. Much better. There is a YouTube video on doing this. Honda Foot well lighting - It's already there! This is for an Odyssey, but the Passport and Pilot are the same. I just dropped my glove box, I didn't need to remove it.
