I haven’t had a fault come on. But I don’t like it - it sure doesn’t seem like a smooth transition. I try to turn off if I remember.

Here's what the owner's manual says about environmental and vehicle operating conditions that will prevent it from being available or possibly unavailable.

I am having the same issues ...The Auto Idle Stop function worked for a few days after delivery but just stopped working and I get the "Idle Stop Unavailable" message when ever I come to a complete stop. The list of reasons why the function doesn't work is frustrating. It could be any number of reasons or combination thereof. Would it be too hard for Honda to actually have a message that would tell the driver why it's not available ? For all I know, it could be defective. So, if the system does not come back on, I'll have to bring the vehicle into the shop. That sucks, being that it's only 2 weeks old .....

Tried opening hood, then starting engine. Shutting hood, turning off car, leaving door open etc ...Every combination of sensory fixes that have been posted ..Still does not work. It has to be something simple, maybe the battery is charged sufficiently ?

Update: Was driving today. I shut off the climate control system completely because its a nice day and wouldn't you know, the Auto Idle Stop started working again. I can't say for sure if this "fixed" the issue but its back to working …. Go figure.

Up Date, Well the dealership found the problem with idle stop fault . It’s something in the wire- harness . Ordered part they said I’ll have back thursday, we see . They are just as frustrated As me , I’ve known them for 30 years. Mistlin Honda has always been great . Are family has bought lots of Honda’s from them . .
