Here is where I got the tires from. Anyone know what size tires they are? I know they are General Tires.

I wonder how much difference would it make that this wheel has 35 mm offset, while OEM 18" wheel is 55 mm offset. They say do not go too far from the original offset. How far is "too far"?

Reducing offset will make the wheel stick out farther. For that application, having the wheel and tire stick out an additional 20mm definitely looked better and was possibly more stable as a "desert racing support vehicle".

Makes sense. As long as wheel is not scraping. Unfortunately, there is not much room in Passport's front wheel well.

These KMC wheels are probably the ones included in the JSport performance packages (available directly from some Honda dealers). They are Honda-specific and made exclusively for JSport. I'm not sure if they retain the stock 55mm offset, but they do have the Honda specific hub diameter (64.1mm), which prevents having to run centering rings.

These JSport packages are available with 17" or 18" wheels. Just what the off-road enthusiasts have been asking for!

The design of wheels on a picture with the Pilot and the bottom one appears to be XD128 Machete. However, they definitely should be custom made as there are no suitable size listed on KMC website:

Definitely custom for Honda. Notice they used the stock photo from KMC showing a non-Honda 6-bolt wheel.

Very Nice! This vehicle definitely needs 17" or 18" wheels - if not for the practical comfort, potential fuel economy savings, and lower chance of road damage, then at least for the overall help in harmonizing the character of the vehicle as a whole.

Offset is another can of worms all together. Complex subject and what you can get away with without causing seriously premature suspension component wear out & other everyday driver livability issues is not always clear without a lot of trial and error.

I love the off-road rims shown above, we had a Venza for 5 years that came stock with 20" rims/tires and never had any issues, although I never took it off road..

I just purchased my Touring AWD today and will be outfitting it to match this one that New Century Honda in Glendale, CA put together. When I went in for my first test drive the day the shipment arrived, the dealer was starting to build the truck in the picture (which is a Sport with the Adventure Package).

I fell in love with the look but wanted an upgraded trim level. After not having any luck finding an EXL in Modern Steel, we started test driving the Touring model and found a lot to like. Tonight I went down to test drive the Sport Model in the photos to see how I liked the ride quality of the wheels and tires and to my surprise, they were able to find me a Touring AWD three hours away. So my new decked out Passport will be here on Friday.

These wheels are the Black Rhino York 18" Rims with Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. I was impressed by how smooth these hybrid tires handled on surface streets and on the highway on my test drive today. The Sport model seems to have a little less sound dampening so I was able to hear a slight hum over the factory tires, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I'd expected from the look of the tire. I'm looking forward to the Touring model I bought having an even quieter ride.

This is a direct bolt on replacement for the factory wheels, with no suspension adjustment required. If anyone is looking for full sized spares, or wants to upgrade their Sport or EXL wheels, I'll have a set of Touring wheels up for sale very soon.

Hello david and congrats, that is the exact Passport I am hoping to get, do you know what Dealership New Century got it from? Also, If you are interested in selling just ONE of your take-off tires and wheels, I would be interested as I want a full size spare when I head up to the Bishop/Lee Vining...

Nice pics, David. First Passport I've seen fitted with 18" wheels and real off-road tires. It's a great look and I have a feeling this style of modification is really going to become popular with the Passport.

Enlarging the image and looking at the Black Rhino website, it appears that the wheels are 18 x 8 and the tires are 265/60R18. Wheel offset is 35mm and that's why they stick out much more than stock.

I'll actually have the vehicle in hand tomorrow and will post more photos and details ASAP. Since this was the dealer's design, I don't have all of the details just yet.
