I've been shopping around for around a month on the Passport EXL AWD. Been mostly waiting for a color I like, like the Gree, blue or red. Just was wondering what prices are you guys seeing so far on the EXL AWD or even just EXL? It seems like colors outside black, silver, and white are hard to come by for the EXL trim. I've never seen the black forest green in any trim in our area (OH, PA, WV tristate area). Black Forest Green would be my Number 1 choice so far.

I'm also thinking of adding the Roof Rails, I think it really lacks those on the sport and exl trims. Anyone else do the same?

What I definitely see is that inventory of EX-L trims is smaller than Touring and Elite. The color distribution is very uneven, I do see at least one EX-L in Black Forest in MA. Like you, I'm also waiting for color in particular trim to appear and so far the closest one is about 160 miles away from me.

Yep Exactly. What color are you waiting for?

We purchased a Ex-l 2wd in Modern Steel Metallic right at MSRP unfortunately but did get some free add ons that I wouldn’t pay for. After a week of having the vehical we decide to add the roof rails and crossbars from the dealer because like you I feel it looks off without.

I am researching - may purchase in late April or May as those seem to be better months for prices in metro Atlanta. Looks like buyers on the forum are happy with $2,000 +/- off MSRP. Maybe May will be better for me. I'm not too particular on color and want EX-L AWD. Are you seeing better deals in your area?

Are you still happy with buying the passport? Any thing you absolutely love or hate?

I was offered $36,063 on a EXL AWD at a large volume dealer. They Low balled my trade at first but I got them up to where I wanted they just didn't have the coor and told me it was 30 days out so I figured I'd wait.

Dealer closest to me has EX-L AWD Modern Steel color for $36562. Responded on car gurus asking if price is invoice + destination fee. Got an email asking lots of questions so responded with question "does price include destination fee", got no response so far. I'm an old retired guy, no trade in and can pay cash tomorrow but am not telling them that. Have had same type problem with this dealer in the past. Bought the wife a car somewhere else last year after going to this dealer first. My best deals on cars have been after walking out or saying NO, NO, NO to unsatisfactory offers.

Invoice + Destination fee on an EXL AWD is $36,063. KBB.com will tell you invoice pricing on the Passport. Tell them you want to pay $36,063. Its only a difference of $500 bucks. I bet they'd sell you it if you did that if their advertising $36,562. Might even throw in all weather floor mats with the $36,063 if you make them.

I like the way you think. Believe its best for me to wait until late April. What I will do is take this price to my preferred dealer about 20 miles away when I am ready and tell them it is what I'll pay but do want a towing package. That's how I approached them last year on an Odyssey & got a price under (supposedly) invoice.

I bet if they have the model in stock that they'd do the deal. I don't think the passport is selling exactly as well has honda expected. I think Missing a real EX trim has hurt it some.

Good point. Since I bought in April last year will wait until then to get serious. Keeping notes of better prices I am seeing as I like to give the dealer my price & not try and come down from his MSRP. Read that other than Oct-Dec., May-Summer is better time than now to buy, pricewise. Honda folks are pretty bright, IMO. If Passports don't sell as expected and Pilots are going for same or less, they should make adjustments. Just a guess.

We are extremely happy with our purchase we traded in a 2010 Crv lx so this is a huge upgrade. My wife has wanted a Pilot for over 5 years but after driving both she was disappointed that the Pilot was no longer what she wanted. Things I love about the Passport is space, technology, V6 power available when needed, and more rugged look than Pilot. Dislikes are few arm rest, 9 speed with paddle shifters, location of front turn signals and reverse lights.

Just bought this week an EX-L AWD Modern Steel. $37K which included a few dealer add-ons I didn't want but decided to pull the trigger anyway. Cargo mat, wheel locks, door and handle protection film, and splash guards. This was in the Los Angeles area. There was another dealer in the area willing to sell at this price for a blue one (same add-ons) but I opted for charcoal.
