I hear what your saying. The 2019 Highlander is currently around four inches shorter than the Pilot. They are likely trying to stay competitive with Pilots interior space. My understanding is the 2020 highlander will sit on a new frame/platform .... it will be interesting to see. I am pretty sure they will unveil it in New York Auto Show in April.

The salesman got back to me on the Passport. As I expected , the dealer is not willing to move much off MSRP yet. Also found out adding tow package is over $1500! The adventure package is almost $4k Just not worth it to me. The viewing public will hardly be able to tell the difference between a pilot and passport.

I will sit back ... watch and chomp on some popcorn until the 2020 highlander comes out. Still have Kia, Subaru and Lexus to look at.
Tow hitch is $499. Try Costco auto program.

FYI, I ran into different prices and different tow packages - 1 was just the hitch 2 was the hitch and wiring harness and 3 was the hitch, the wiring harnesses and awd atf transmission cooler thing for towing 5k (not sure that this comes on an elite or on an awd automatically but I don’t need 5k towing so didn’t pursue the rt answer) as PP was new to them ;)

I had a 2014 RX350 a couple of vehicles ago. Great ride quality, very good fit and finish. I didn't care for the self leveling headlights, didn't shine high/far enough, dealer said they were adjusted correctly, didn't feel safe driving over 45 mph on a dark road with low beams only. Also didn't care for rain sensing wipers, didn't work as I thought they should. I very much dislike the current body styling on the new RX so I wouldn't consider one.

Hi, would you consider the self leveling headlights and rain sensing wipers work better on the Passport?

I bought the Passport Touring model, so it does not have those features. I believe only the Elite has those. The LED headlights on my Touring are excellent.

I just traded my 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Ultimate in. And I'm never looking back. I had it just about a year with only 5500 miles.
-started out with a coolant leak they could not find
-hesitation from a standing stop.
-rattle above driver
-This was the topper,
Received notice for engine recall, possible engine fire/ stall. Where I read that engines were being replaced. The one time I was at the dealer, I ran into the guy who sold it to me (not his fault) I went down the list , his jaw dropped on how I was disappointed and tried to walk a way slowly...
Drove the Toyota, Acura, and Nissan.
The Passport moves like the Acura without the price. I'm looking forward to driving this Passport.

u sure thats with the touring package? How is the size compared to the passport? We really liked the passports width and the v6 engines power. Is the sorento v6 and size comparable? we planned on test driving tomorrow.
I test drove the Sorento today - great interior, ride and a decent size. Not as spacious as the Passport and I felt the headrest was not comfortable. Power was good and delivery of it as well. They had a Telluride there and that is impressive. Quite a bit larger.

Overall I feel the Passport is the better buy. Unfortunately I drove the Stinger while I was there and now I'm torn!
