Ok, back to something I dislike: both my prior Pilots allowed you to open the rear window without lifting the tailgate. That comes in handy in my garage where I don’t have enough clearance behind my car to open the tailgate when the garage door is closed.
Buy a bigger garage?

#4 on your list is on mine, too.

I’m also disappointed that I have to to connect my phone via cable to use CarPlay. Don’t know if that’s a Honda problem or an Apple problem, but was disappointed all the same...I was really excited about getting a wireless charger.
There is wireless but few cars support it because its new.

Is “brake hold” when you press the brake to the floor while at a standstill (like a stoplight), and then let your foot off and the car remains brakes until you press the accelerator? If so, that’s a feature I really like, but thought was only available on luxury cars.

Noticed if you remote start the vehicle and then use the kick sensor to open the tailgate without unlocking other doors or anything else the vehicle will shut off. Not sure if it will stay running if you unlock the other doors first haven't experimented yet.

I noticed the same with regard to the tailgate. I don’t think the engine shuts off when you open the driver’s side door, at least that’s what I remember the first time I tried remote start. I’ve only used it a few times so far.

On the CR-V it's a button you press to enable the mode, then afterwards whenever you stop the car will continue holding the brakes if you take your foot off the pedal.

It's nice but I sort of don't like the behavior. It resets to Off every time you restart the car.

I would either want to push the button and have it only active for the current stop, or for it to always be active, or for it to be based on the amount you push the pedal down.

As it is you can't really get used to the behavior either way since it resets next time you get in the car.

I've only noticed it shutting off with the kick tailgate. It won't shut off when opening the driver's door or if you unlock all doors and open one of those first. Must be some kind of safety feature:unsure:

I would like to be able to open and close the tailgate completely manually and without any beeps. There should be a setting to turn off the beep if in manual mode. When I am car camping and need to access the cargo area while others are sleeping (most mornings I am going somewhere before sunrise) I want to be able to leave in a stealthy manner without disturbing any other campers. I have already turned off all other audible door/lock alerts.

Should have an electonic Parking Brake (like RAV4) it would make sense with the push button tranny...!
I agree, good feature. The RDX has this. (not to mention the Passport's parking brake is just plain "in the way")

Also a good idea. It is rather loud.

The CR-V has it also. I'm disappointed. It was one of my favorite features. Probably has to do with the auto idle feature. Couldn't have both activated together, they'd cancel each other out.

And the parking brake is in the way.

I didn’t garage my car last night, so I used the remote start to warm it up this morning. It stayed on when I opened both the driver side front and rear door (didn’t have a need to open the tailgate). It was chilly in DFW this morning, so the heater and heated seats were both on.

Don’t like:
  • I have to be parked to set the memory seat, or change the setting from my wife’s setting to mine.

  • There's no light in the trunk! Why?

  • Why not fold the side mirrors automatically? The feature already exists, just link it to the door lock.

  • Transmission in normal mode could be more responsive. Sport mode is ok.

  • Can't disable engine start/stop one for all. This is driving my wife crazy.

  • Rain-sensing windshield wipers do not work well when it snows. Sometime it refuses to work, and sometime it goes crazy fast for a few seconds and then, nothing.

There should be an overhead light in the cargo area for all trims. The switch may be in the OFF position, as the case for mine. Set it to the middle position to go ON when the trunk is opened.

I think engine start/stop (aka Auto Idle Stop) is disabled in Sport mode? But, Sport mode only uses gears 1 through 8.

Sadly as with everything else like smartphones, etc., some of the features that are missing that we all want as mentioned in this forum will be on next year's model. They have to leave some features off for the next round!:(

Wow, you're right! I found the overhead light and the switch was OFF! Thanks!

As for the sport mode, would the transmission remain in Sport mode after a shut down? I have to try tonight...
