Got a ticket in 1/2 Moon Bay for rolling a stop sign and my front window tint!

They gave me 30 days to fix the tint - I think not...

Do we have any cops on the forum than would sign off on the fix it violation?

I’ve had my windows tinted this dark since my 1996 Civic and 2006 CRV and never been pulled over!! ??

Installed the J Sport side steps today. Pretty easy once you understand the physics of how tightening different bolts first effects the alignment much like with the skid plate. I like the look but will appreciate it more once the lift kit, wheels and tires are on. Functionality-wise, they’re more in the way than useful for me, but that’s usually the case with all side-steps/running boards. My vertically challenged wife and daughter should get some use out of them, though.

@bhertz82 , any chance you could snap a photo of the underside of the running boards? I'm working with @Jondz to try and fabricate lower profile brackets for the Honda OEM running boards and I'm curious how JSport sorted out the mounting. Your build is really coming along, I like where you're headed!

Thank you! Yea, I’ll get some pictures. I’m really bad about not taking pictures of in-progress mods. It was interesting though, I got my cutting tools out prepared to cut out the notches in the trim based on the instructions for other running boards I’d seen (these come with none). But they engineered the brackets in a way to get around those. I’ll post some pics soon.

@DavidCSmithDP ,
Here’s some shots from the drivers side front to back.

Thanks! We're hoping to come up with a design for the brackets that's as low profile as possible to keep the break over angle as high as possible. The factory running boards and these both hang down quite a bit. These photos are very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to snap them.

Just wrote my last online bill pay to Honda Financial Services for my Passport!

I financed it for six months to get $1000 off MSRP and it added 80 points to my credit score!

Still love it and even more while I’m still driving a rental Dodge Journey for the next few weeks for work days.

And an update on what I thought I did to my Passport about a month ago - I backed out of the condo sale with the bigger garage. It turned out to be in a flood zone and the HOA pulled their flood insurance policy a year ago without telling anyone! So when I leave San Jose - I’m back to this...

Jesus. I thought I was doing good being on pace to have it paid off in two years. Well done. Scratch all the wheels you want.

Oh that’s funny! My stock rims are a mess. My production guys love to point them out too! ?

I also saved a ton of money by driving a 13 year old CRV that I took great care of and sold for $6500!

But I sure can’t wait to get my Title in the mail!

Anybody out there thinking about putting a bull guard on their Passport. I am thinking a black guard with the right build could look sharp.
I actually was just emailing with the folks at JSport USA this week about the Bull guard on the passport that they show the Pre Run Package on. They said it was a custom made piece for that vehicle, but are seriously thinking about producing it for the Passport. I will order it if they release it. I just ordered the Pre Run Package for mine today.

Took my Passport to Fort Bragg & Mendocino.

Found my camping spot in the Mendocino National Forest.
And by camping, I mean sleeping in my Passport!

She’s going to need a bath tomorrow!

I have only had mine for about 8 days. We vinyl wrapped the center console since the shiny black paint would scratch too easily. We also removed the dealer added pin stripes...yeah, no thanks. Supposed to get my windows tinted but we are under evacuation due to the impending hurricane so I am pretty bummed that may not happen tomorrow.

Nice job on the carbon fibre wrap on your console. Was it difficult, did you do it yourself?

Husband and I did it. This was our second go. I must say, a heat gun is key. Picked one up from Harbor Freight for $10 and I ordered the Vvivid wrap from Amazon. Still deciding on what to wrap next. It was easier when we worked together. He would heat the vinyl and I wrapped it around the cup holder.

Rear badge was 3m gloss black vinyl wrap (which took a while but turned out really nice on the matte accent bar), then letters were matte plastidip (again for texture contrast). Front emblem was just light smoke tint over the radar housing. I've tested the acc and collision warning and it's function seems totally unaffected.
I hate the front emblem but I love what you did to yours. Did you remove the items to wrap them. The smoke tint, is it window tinting or vinyl tint.
