The OP thought the Passport had a harsh ride compared to the Pilot. IMO, he was looking for a grocery getter and not something to possibly take off-road. Both vehicles are solid but you lose a ton of cargo space in the Rav compared to the Passport. I do agree that the Tech in the Passport seems very ‘childlike’ compared to other brands.

Not only room the RAV has NO power... RAV is not in the same category or league with the Passport.. it compares to a CRV maybe
You're right of course, but I was comparing ALL Small & Mid size SUVs for one that had off-road capabilities and I could possibly sleep in, that's why the RAV4 was on my temporary radar. Also comparing prices, an nicely equipped RAV4 Adventure is just under $40k, making the Passport an easy choice for me!

Like all Honda’s, the Tech is the biggest complaint. Reviewers and Consumers talk about the Garmin Nav Head Unit as being too basic with limited customizations compared to even the outdated Toyota models. Sure the back-up camera and screens have more of a Hi-def look but the feature set is very limited to appeal to a wide audience. They went for the IPhone model but gave the tech of a spoon.

I feel like there isn't a big incentive to make the factory nav better when most people are just going to use Apple Maps / Google Maps / Waze via their phone anyway.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I like the Garmin based Nav unit. I also had it in my 2017 Ridgeline and I have a portable Garmin unit. I find it very intuitive to use. It always recognizes my voice commands and for my needs I've never found it lacking. I owned a 2018 Chevy Equinox for year and it had the worst Nav system I've ever used.

I also like the Garmin unit a lot and the over all tech in the PP / if it was too advanced I would worry about the reliability down the road (my bro-in law has a brand new Audi and it’s really amazing tech wise and it was probably double what I paid and hope he has a kick ass warranty ?)

Another note... about Honda's Lane Keeping Assist. When I have LKAS activated and driving on a road with gentle curves my Passport will literally steer itself. When experimenting with this I do keep my hands positioned over and around the steering wheel, but not touching it. The 2018 Chevy Equinox I owned would travel over the center line or the edge of the road line slightly before attempting to correct itself. The Chevy LKAS was so inefficient is was almost worthless to use it, so kudos to Honda for having a good system.

LOL. I neglected to turn of my email notifications and am quite amused at the firestorm my supposed last post has lit. I saw other threads comparing the Passport to other trims and thought it acceptable. Well, that and I was finally glad as hell to be just done ! As StevenD said, basically it was a great fit for my family and situation and yall are free to buy whatever you are comfortable handing over a good sized check for. GLTA.
You seem to desire lots of attention....

Currently own a Tacoma and waited for the RAV4 to be released. Wife and I were very disappointed how the RAV4 drove. Absolutely no pick up. Purchased Elite in February and absolutely love it. Traded in a Volvo XC60 turbo.
Thanks for the post....you helped us with knowing you traded a vehicle we were considering (Volvo XC60). Interesting posts here and very helpful. Funny, we drove the Passport and the Pilot, We both thought the Passport's ride was better. Didn't need to drive the Rav4 since it didn't fit us (me 6'5"
215 lbs, wife 5'8" small frame), it was just too small in height and width, but that's just us and what we prefer. We have having a tough time making a decision between the PP and Telluride.
