Apple CarPlay only works when phone is plugged into the front USB port. It’s not a wireless connection. Refer to manual for more info. You can connect phone via Bluetooth (doesn’t need to be plugged in) or through CarPlay when plugged in.

Bluetooth?

I get this error when trying to connect via View attachment 2239 Bluetooth?
I think need to complete below:
If your iPhone isn't detected by CarPlay, make sure that CarPlay isn't restricted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, tap Allowed Apps and make sure that CarPlay is enabled.
Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, and tap Forget This Car.

Thanks for the suggestion. However do I go into the passport settings or my phone settings. Either way if I go into settings I don’t have a screen Time option in my car or the phone?

Use Pdog's link to Apple if it's CarPlay issues. If the issue is when you are connecting via Bluetooth and not CarPlay try going to settings on the iPhone under Bluetooth and hit the "circle with i" on the HandsFreeLink Device and tell it to sync contacts and show notifications. Not sure but this may help???? Worth a try!
