Thank you to btric74, Shaddow and DaveG. I will give it a shot and let you all know the result.

There are multiple videos on performing the same process in a Pilot. It will require some force, but not enough to break the lens. In the end, these lens covers are plastic: if you break one they won't cost more than a couple bucks to replace. Take your time and be deliberate when you're removing the lens, it's not that hard.
My son and I replaced the door and ceiling lights today using the kit mentioned by Passport52 and they look great and dim perfectly! It was a great father and son thing to do after Easter dinner. He is all enthused and off researching doing same for his Durango. It was his first time seeing my Elite and he was very impressed. We looked at one of the videos mentioned on this thread to help with the cargo light. We pulled all the covers using a small screwdriver that I keep in the glovebox.

I bought the interior LED replacement bulbs from the Amazon link above. What a difference! I can now see in the cargo area. I'm very surprised Honda didn't put LED in the first place. Honda must be needing to use up their remaining filament bulbs. I'll be replacing the back ups in the near future

Just wanted to put this out there in case anyone was wondering what options were available. I upgraded all of my interior lighting with LED lights using the following kit from Amazon:

I think the results speak for themselves. Here is row 1 and 2:

This is with both rows and the cargo area together:

Finally, here's a pic of one of the doors (note the color difference with the lighted running board LEDs):

Finally, I upgraded the reverse lamps as well. I unfortunately wasn't able to get a pic of those, but the ones I went with were a night and day difference in brightness (double the brightness if I had to quantify). If anyone is looking for replacement reverse lamps I highly recommend these:

I also replaced my interior lights a few weeks ago. I actually practiced on our CRV first and watched videos that are available from the PrecisionLED website. It gives you a good idea of which side to pry out, etc. I thought it was very easy and I'm not the most mechanically inclined guy around. The hardest for some reason were the courtesy door light covers.
how easy are the reverse lights to get to? they look like they are in the bumper, do you go underneath bumper?
thanks

Behind the bumper are the sockets that hold the lights. They rotate about a quarter of a turn CCW and slip right out. Lots of room to work and a flashlight is handy. 1 minute per side.

Ordered the LEDs from that Amazon link last week. Just now installed LEDs in the Cargo area, rear seat area, front overhead and front doors. I think that helps so much already.

QUICK TIP: Factory bulbs may be hot and slippery. I put a piece of blue painters tape over the hard to remove bulbs and yanked with my hands or needle nose pliers to remove them; be gentle. Some of the other factory bulbs just easily slipped right out using my two fingers with nylon gloves. peace, e

Might you know what series LED bulbs I'd need for the reverse backup lights?
I see where it's very easy to remove the reverse bulb housing under the bumper. Maybe the front turn signals on that bumper too? Thanks so much.

Are the brake lights LED or if not can those also be swapped out when doing the turn indicators?
Guess you haven't looked at your tail lamps? They are LED except inner turn signal, which is a regular Amber bulb.
