Wife and I had our leased 2017 Odyssey in for service on Saturday. While waiting, We test drove a Passport Touring AWD to kill time, wife loves it. We’re moving on from nearly 16 years of driving Odyssey’s. She did not like CR-V or Pilot, appears Passport is just right.

We have 15 months left on the lease and are on pace to exceed mileage allowance by about 7,500 miles. Sales manager suggested that we come back when we hit mileage cap but did offer to buy us out at 25k, leaving me with $1,325 in negative equity and offering Passport at $1k below MSRP.

We discussed and are leaning towards waiting. I think the buyout offer is very fair but would like more of a discount on price of Passport. Plan on owning this one for many years - no more leasing for us.

Yes. Selling prices quoted on the out the door quotes I have:
40700 (1595 dealer package for 'free' in OTD price)
38662 (selling price for the above full USAA quote/no dealer packages)
41225 (+2495 dealer packages)
39500 (told this was 500 above invoice/no dealer packages)
42225 (dealer would not budge on MSRP)

Still waiting on at least 3 more. Will do a full breakdown on the one we choose. These are all in Central Florida.

Best selling price offer i have so far is 37750 for a Touring AWD. Started a mini bidding war in the Tampa area. Will probably go with this one. :)

Does the 37,750 include the 1,045 destination charge (I would think not?). Any accessories or fees included? I'm just trying to compare to what I think I can negotiate for the same trim.

Invoice price for the elite is 40,961 (39,916 + 1,045) so approx. 900 to 1,000 less than that would be $40,000 or so. I think that would be a reasonable target.

So, $40K + Doc fee, Filing fee, Tax, Tag (etc). In that case a great "OTD" price should be somewhere between $43,900-ish and $44,500-ish (based on your tax rate). Does that sound right?

That sounds about right. With a target price of $1,000 less than invoice, where I am assuming my tax rate and expected fees, I would come in at approx. $43,600 OTD for the Elite trim. I haven't started my sales process yet, but it sounds like some dealers currently are willing to sell at or below invoice and others are not there yet.
