Yep. Don't get me wrong. It's a nice car... so is the Pilot. But, they claim the target market was a younger market that wanted a sportier, two tow SUV.... to fill a hole in the in their line up because they estimated they were losing 45k units to competitors.

They missed the mark on sporty. Trying to sell the off-road sizzle when most won't use it for that. But honda has always been super conservative on body style.

I think most of that market is also realistic, money conscious and will look through the hype and see it for what it is.

A nice car that should sell for less than a pilot.

The 2019 RDX is sooooo much better than the 2018 RDX.

Perhaps better in 2020 it seems from the other posters but not sure if it is 25-30 grand nicer. I could buy two of them for the same price almost. : ). They would have to put a proper size grown-up motor in it first.

I'm back to wondering about the RDX. Too many bugs for me to be comfortable though. It would be great if the 2020 was due out sooner, but I won't be able to wait for it's release.

The problem that I see is Honda is too scared to launch something entirely new. Toyota on the other hand doesn't although they move slower, but when they do things, they do 'em right.

How can you believe that Honda management is too "scared" to launch entirely new vehicles?

If they are, where did the current selection of vehicles that they sell (like the Pilot, Ridgeline, etc.) come from in the first place?

The Sport is more expensive than the Pilot LX, but the EX-L, Touring, and Elite are all cheaper than the equivalent Pilot (though not by much).
