...goes unpunished. Made a house call today to drain a post-operative seroma on a friend who recently had breast cancer and a mastectomy. The driveway is a dirt road about 1/2 mile from the pavement. On the way out, I heard a “pop” and three seconds later TPMS came on. After putting on the spare, I went home found a 2 - 3” gash on the sidewall and the rim is ruined.

My Passport is four days old. Like I have always done, I declined all the expensive add-on warranty crap when I bought it, so I guess I’m screwed. Any ideas how much a new rim and tire is going to cost me?

I’m thinking seriously about taking all of them off and replacing them with 18” wheels and better tires. Might this be a better route?

You can add a tire warranty certificate thru Discount Tire or America's Tire - (depending on your location), for about $200. Mine was $225 or so in OC, CA.

The tires are not the best and have horrible reviews. I was told by them a single new rim and tire replacement was about $500-600 depending on location.

Yes! Thank you. That is a great looking wheel on the Passport. I've saved the link. What size tires did you choose to go with those wheels?
Michelin Defender LTX in 245-60-18. Overall diameter is the same as original tires + 20" wheels. Speedometer remains the same.
