Don't see a change for me. But I kept the total weight of the tire and wheel almost the same as the OEM set-up.

With OEM tires + wheels and the roof basket I'd get 23ish on the freeway.

With the aftermarket tires + wheels and the roof basket same 23ish on the freeway.

Speed was about 72mph and using cruise control on the flat, straight freeways of Florida.

I'm averaging 17 to 22 depending on conditions. I didn't drive it before the new wheels so I don't have a direct comparison, but based on everyone else's posts, I'd say the wheels might have cost me 1 or 2 mpg.

Are people pleased with the gas mileage? The Passport has received criticism for poor fuel economy. I think poor is an exaggeration but it ain't great however.

It's what is pushing me towards something smaller like the CX-5.

I am happy with mine. My 2006 CRV got about the same, but I could barely make it 350 miles with the AC on before needing to fill up. My Passport gets about 450 miles easily before needing to fill up. I’m driving back to San Jose on Sunday after putting on 2000 miles and will most my MPG.

I like the power. Honestly, not worried about gas mileage. Would have bought a CRV if that was an issue. Like the power of the 6.
Will be great in the mountains in PA and Colorado.

Smaller vehicles with 4cyl engines are the way to go if you are concerned about gas mileage, the current 4Runner is rated at 17city/20hi-way and people are still buying them. With that Honda V6, it is just begging the driver to put his (or her) foot into it...!

Nice look. I am thinking of doing the same size and tire combo but have not decided on the wheels yet. How did this combo change the ride? Is corning much more wobbly? What about the road noise from the tires? Much more over the OEMs? I assume you have no rubbing with the size you went.

Not sure if this was for me since I posted a picture but the ride may have gotten a bit better as in "softer" with all that sidewall compared to the OEM 20" wheels. No wobble and minimal road noise with the Copper tires. No rubbing.

After some time with the look I'm thinking I should have gone with 18" wheels instead of 17".

Yes, I meant your 17 inch wheels. I like the thickness of the tire wall and you will have a lot more tires to choose from just purely from the selection perspective since you went with more truck-like dimensions. I would prefer to have meatier rims, yours look very racer-like. With a heavy-duty rim, this tire would look very much offroad. I attached a few pics from the Pilot forum that i like and this guy inspired me to go with 17 inch. This is a Pilot though. I am thinking between KMC Bully and Raceline Shift, since both come in bronze color and I think it will look gorgeous with a white color that I have.

I am glad to hear the ride is softer and it sounds like cornering ability is not affected much, which was my main concern.My 20 inchers sound loud and they are a bit rough on a broken pavement.
