Had my front door windows tinted. Love it. Didn't go as dark as factory tint on back windows because I don't want the police on me.

Looks good and plan on taking mine in on Thursday and am thinking 35%. What is yours / like u, I do not want the po-po on me so it has to be legal and I do want to see my side mirror lol ?

Thanks for the likes!! Yes, I went 35%. It's the lightest tint they offer at the place I went to. It's a little bit lighter than the factory tint on the rear doors and side glass.
I too, like Scooter Dude, like to see out my side mirrors at night. I had a vehicle (used) I bought years back that was from Florida, and it had dark tint... like 5% on back windows and 20% on front doors. Too dark. Could not back out of an unfamiliar driveway without rolling the window's down at night! LOL.

I tinted mine and matched the back windows, looks great. If this were a Porsche I worry about the police.. but doubt I'll be driving my Passport like my Porsche.

But I really worried about seeing out at night or having a "cave-like" interior as I also have black leather etc... How is your view out the windows at night like when backing up? (Yes, before everyone says... I know it has a camera, but I'm old-school coming from an era when you actually had to look out and turn your head)

I might go back an have the back tailgate window tinted over the factory. Driving at night with the electro-chromatic mirror, the mirror doesn't darken enough and the headlights shining in back bother me.

My view on front driver & passenger window tinting;

First, if one does tint these windows be sure they meet state and federal standards, if any.

Second: I do not tint these front windows because I want to have other drivers and pedestrians see me when I signal them to "proceed" while I wait for them to pass.

Third: Tinting reduces visibility for the driver as well, albeit minimal.

Go 18% on the front door windows as it matches the rear. When you see the PoPo cruising by, just open the sunroof slider and bam, you have 35% tint.

States have laws restricting the amount of tint allowed for the front windows..In Texas it is 25%

Check your tint laws in your state...otherwise you can face a hefty fine.

It seems that in my state there aren't enough police on the roads to enforce traffic laws (speeding, careless driving, etc.) so even though I'm not tinting my windows, I wouldn't worry about it. I see cars with front windows tinted so dark you can't see into the vehicle.

California has laws regarding front window tint, but that is ignored just like the 65mph limit. lol. I have 40% ceramic tint on the front windows because they didn't have 35%. I wish I went down to 20% instead to match the rest of the windows.

If I was a policeman and I could not see the driver because of dark tint it would make me nervous approaching the vehicle..And I do not want a nervous cop approaching me.

Drove at night the other day, really was no issue. We'll see when we get a really dark wet night...
