Inquiring minds want to know where the emergency tow hooks or tow points are on the Passport?
  • There is an obvious front tow hook to the inside of the Front-Left wheel (photo 1).
  • There is no tow hook or tow point for the rear (photo 2)?
There are central jack points in the front and rear.
  • Rear center jack point is the black metal tab at the bottom of the rear frame member in photo 2.
  • Front center jack point is the black metal tab below the white label at the bottom of the front frame member in photo 3.

Good info Dude, thanks for sharing. If you have the towing package then that should work for the rear.

I would consider a lack of rear recovery points a huge miss from Honda on a vehicle which offers many off-road features in AWD models. I do not see recovery points identified in the manual, but I did find this comment on page 451 -

If You Get Stuck, carefully go in the direction that you think will get you unstuck. Do not spin the tires as this will only make things worse and could damage the transmission. If you are unable to free yourself, your vehicle will need to be towed. Front and rear tow hooks are provided for this purpose.

Hopefully the rear does have a solid option for recovery when owners do not install the hitch.

Agree 100%, when I first looked at the PP was curious about rear tow hooks (Granted have no plans to get stuck of course ? who does ?) but figured I will have the towing package so it wasn’t on my radar any longer
