I worded that incorrectly....did not mean that buying a Honda is an investment....no car is an investment..unless you mothball it for 20-30 yrs...all cars depreciate.....Meant to say buying a honda is a smart vehicle to purchase for a longtime holder..You should only invest in an asset hat stands a good chance of appreciating in value.
No problem. I was I was just trying to support your reasoning in a correct manner more for all forum members than yourself. I have similar dilemma/reasoning as you describe.

My Costco dealer (an hour away from me) didn’t even respond to my email to him. Def wasn’t impressed by that dealer’s communication. But I agree with others here, my purchase price was very competitive even without the Costco process. The 50%-off accessory coupon might’ve been nice to have but ultimately didn’t matter (the savings i got in my sale-price was probably greater than the coupon could provide).

I think Costco is supposed to send you the coupon even if decide not to buy at that dealer.

They sent me a 15% off coupon (good only at their “authorized dealers”) but I believe that if you make a vehicle purchase through them that they will send you a 50% accessory/parts coupon (max value like, $200 I think?). Feel free to correct my numbers if anyone has used them coupons
