Particularly on the Elite AWD gloss black wheels?

My neighbor (who’s fairly savvy with autos), noticed they have this wing edge. But the wing edge direction (angle) is the same on both side? Is this for cooling the brakes?

Or is this wrong?

I don't know, but I have a guess, my first BMW had these horrible rims with 26 spokes - than meant constantly clean brake dust off of 52 surfaces, it took me about 30% of the time to clean them as it did to do my entire exterior1

Fast forward to my next BMW (2012), it had less spokes (maybe 12?) but they all had these strange curved surfaces, which caught the wind and did not allow brake dust to adhere onto them...

I'm guess that might be what Honda has done with the Passport wheels...

I noticed the little wheel weights stuck on in the pic. Mine have them too. I read it’s so that the pair of wheels are perfectly matching in weight. But then I wonder when we get balancing and rotation done, do they ensure the same pair is used on the left and right or do they move the weights around?
