They have grown on me. Much more than all the gloss finish inside. I think The Passports color makes them look different. Once I get to a mileage where I need tire replacement, I will probably get a mat finish.

i like them and was one of the reasons we went with the elite package. more importantly the wife likes them and its her ride. she had a dark colored ride with chrome wheels last time and wanted something different. i have factory gloss black wheels on my sierra pickup and they have held up fine. we are keeping the edge for now as a spare ride which ill use as daily driver a couple days a week and im already looking for factory black wheels for it as the chrome just doesnt come back as good as it should. i like the look and to each his own

I think they look outstanding with obsidian blue, and so do many of my friends and family. As spring has arrived, I’ve been getting more and unsolicited compliments. I have to admit that before I put my money down, I was not a fan of the black wheels. Now I’m planning on buying black wheels from tirerack for my snows. I think the black running boards add to the effect too.

Hey guys.

It seems that most folks here are NOT fans of the black wheels (to say the least). I'm wondering if anyone actually LIKES the black wheels?

Just curious. :)
I decided on the Touring because I didn't want the black wheels.

how much did the dealer charge for the new tires and swap ?
I am thinking about putting the black tires on the touring or exl
thanks

The Touring and Elite have same tires so no need to get tires. They just took them off a Touring and swapped them with my Elite ‘s wheels.

No charge to me since it was a condition of my purchase...

Hope that helps!!!

I just bought a Touring trim, modern steel color. Wish it came with the black wheels, I think the black wheels look better. The reason I bought the Passport is because it does not have chrome. They should have done the Passport lettering on the back in black as well. Other than the wheels and the seats could be a little more comfortable I love it

I have the white diamond pearl and do not like the black wheels at all.
I also don't care for the black wheels. That was a major reason I bought the Touring model. That and the fact I didn't need or want the extra cost for the 4 or 5 extra features of the Elite. Some really like the black wheels. To each, his/her own.

Not a fan of the black rims. Suspect they are going for a more "aggressive and sporty" sort of look with the darker color rim selections across the passport trims. Guess I'm just old and crusty, much prefer rims with some traditional silver color, like the Pilot or Ridgeline RTL-T/E rims come with.
