I see that the 2019 Passport comes with the ZF2. Does anyone know the difference?

I seen this in my “2019 Honda Passport press kit” Powering the new Passport is a 3.5-liter SOHC direct- injected V6 engine with i-VTEC® valvetrain connected exclusively to a second-generation 9-speed automatic transmission.

The ZF 9-speed transmission used in the Pilot is also used in the Passport. For 2019 it was retuned with hardware and software changes to address shifting irregularities reported by 2016-2018 Pilot owners. Sorry, I had never heard of "ZF1" or "ZF2" used in any context. Anyhow, I have heard in reviews that the Passport transmission feels good.

Here is another explanation about the ZF Tranny upgrade for 2019. Granted they are talking about the 2019 Pilot, same same :)

I had read in at least one of the reviews I read prior to purchasing that the Passport got the same upgraded transmission as the 2019 Pilot. Mine shifts very smoothly, with the only gripe being that at times (not always) it seems to take a tick from a full stop for the car to either engage or downshift.
