I just installed my Thule roof rack, consisting of Thule Rapid Crossroad footpacks, 58” square bars, paddle holder and kayak stacker. I’ve had this equipment for many years, and it works on a wide variety of vehicles with raised roof rails.

The rails on the Passport are indentical in cross-sectional shape to the rails on the Ridgeline, and Thule approves of this setup on the Ridgeline. Thule also makes a set of aero-bars and a Crossroad footpack for them; however, I think they are unsightly and I prefer the traditional square bars.

I just road tested my setup with a 2400 trip to Moab and back with 2 kayaks, both 18'3", on top, one flat on a Hull-a-Vator the other on its side. Traveled great on the way down other than impacting fuel mileage. On the way back we paralleled a storm front and had rain and high winds for 90% of the drive. The winds really kicked the kayaks around and it actually looks that my rack has a little bit of damage but is still solid. The CrossFoot is the way to go.

I was wondering about wind noise? I have the same setup and get a huge howling? I had to add the Thule wind deflector.

It has not been an issue. The wind noise so far has been pretty minimal.
