It comes with the second gen ZF transmission now. I believe the kinks have been worked and should be pretty reliable in the long term. We shall see. I think it’s fantastic in the Passport. Very smooth and predictable. I never drove a Pilot with the first gen ZF so cant comment on it. Also the CVT in those other vehicles are hot garbage made by Jatco. Accept for the Toyota that has a good CVT made by Aisin.Headbanger, unfortunately the CR-V comes with CVT transmission. Sadly the RAV4, Subaru Forester and Outback, Nissan Rogue are also equipped with CVT. Escape, Sportage, CX5 and Tucson are not with CVT from small SUV category. But none of them has V6 and in case you would like a strong engine you have to choose a turbo engine. Passport sounds as a good option but comes with the problematical ZF transmission. I'll test the Titanium Escape and the AWD Passport as well. I'm really curious how they behave.
