KInda glad to read this. I keep thinking, one feature I wanted on my new auto was ventilated seats for my S.E. Texas driving. I was cross shopping Subaru Outback and Kia Sorrento.

I got the Passport Touring for a very good price and did not even test drive a Elite to compare. If the seat cooling is not great and I do not have a need for AWD, good to know I made the correct choice.

After our first minor, aprox 550 mile round trip this weekend, the AC in the Passport was more than enough to keep the interior very cool for us and our pup laying in back. I had to turn it up from Lo at a few points in our trip cause it was very cool inside as we drove thru some heavy rain, very dark skies returning on Hwy 290 from Austin area. I also have the Aries covers on both front seats. These covers are more for beach, rain protection of the seats. They slip over the headrests and just drape over the seat area. The should not hinder airbag deploy but the dense fabric would probably block ventilated seats. But I find them useful on lighter seat colors to minimize stains.

The PP did pretty well on fuel, made it there and back with about 41 miles remaining on the Range on the same tank of gas. I did engage the ECO-mode a couple times. Overall, a very nice and comfortable ride.
Pretty good mileage, 550 miles on less than a tank, not to shabby.

Woah!!! Sorry, don't want to mislead anyone here, ever. I hadn't crunched the actual numbers. That 550 roundtrip I thought I would be doing got altered somewhat. After viewing my actual numbers, it's more like 375 total miles roundtrip. With about 42 miles range left once back home. So could've been a more realistic 415-417 total miles on this single gas tank.

Which to me is still pretty good to me. I forgot to reset the trip meter before I hit the road this trip, so it shows avg 23mpg with a total of 895 miles now on my odometer.

And we took the nice, Austin area Toll Rd 130 from Lockhart to Elgin, aprox 35-40 miles. That Toll Rd has a posted 85 speed limit, so of course, I went 95 for a short section. Was a nice, first, quick trip for Fathers' Day.

Sorry for the incorrrect first numbers, 550 miles on a tank woulda been danged impressive for sure. peace, e
Thanks for the clarification, Ernie. Still, not bad mileage for a PP.
