For DIY install of the "seat back protector" or "cargo side panel protectors", the installation calls for a Rotabroach cutter. The tool is for cutting holes in the seat back (8mm) or cargo side panel (6mm) for inserting snap hardware or rivets, respectively.

Before I perform the actual install, I tested the Rotabroach cutter on a piece of vinyl siding. Photos as follows:

1. 8mm cutter (top left), 6mm cutter (top right), small washer for arbor with small cutters, large washer for arbor with large cutters, arbor that attaches to a handheld power drill
2. assembled arbor with small washer and 8mm cutter (the cutters are very sharp)
3. pilot hole with 1/8" drill bit (left) and 8mm hole with arbor & 8mm cutter

The pilot hole and arbor keeps the hole centered while cutting. Yes, the Rotabroach cutter made a nice clean hole and does no reqiure much pressure. It would be prudent to clean the cutter head after each hole.

The only place that I found online for the cutters was directly with Blair Equipment or via Amazon. The cutters came in a 3 pack, unfortunately. I'll sell the cutters and arbor when done.

Hey guys/gals on the seat back protectors I took a look at the ‘install instruction’ posted here (mine came with none) and in my opinion the instructions are way over kill for me and I cut out about half and I still think the install is easy-peasey and they provide great protection and are not going anywhere ? / anyways, wanted to share my .02 ?

I just finished installing my seat back protectors. I posted a separate thread with more info. Correct, it is not difficult and having the right tools always help. If you are OCD, you may wish to go slowly at first.
