Ok. I apologize in advance, I don’t post often so it may be a little rough. I’m enjoying my vehicle and thought I would share. I’m in Ontario Canada.
I bought my EXL Passport from Family Honda in Brampton, Maritime Blvd. That was after about a month of visiting dealerships in the GTA. I walked into Family Honda the beginning of April and closed the deal April 29. I ended up paying $54,300 (final price after everything) and received about $2400 in incentives (accessories) but I had to pay tax on the total amount of accessories I got for free. The sales rep was Sukhdeep and the manager was Mo.
in conversation with the two of them over the course of this purchase they told me the best time to speak to a sales rep is at the beginning of a month. They are trying to sell to gain momentum for the rest of that month and are a little more inclined to offer incentives. My accessories include wireless charger, roof rack cross bars, hood visor, door visors and protection package advance. I really really want the privacy screen for the cargo area but for some reason I completely forgot to negotiate for it
I pretty much had to buy that useless theft option for $399 because that goes directly into profit. Quid pro quo.
But by far this sales team offered the best bang for my buck. A couple if dealerships in Mississauga wouldnt offer more than a $1000 incentive. Some didn’t want to offer anything, even when I said I really wanted the vehicle.
Sukhi and Mo of Family Honda would be my recommendation.
Go in early in the month and let them earn your business. If your not happy, there are at least 3 other reps in that dealership and 10 other dealerships full of sales reps that will fight for your business. Don’t be afraid to talk to multiple reps in the same dealership. You don’t have to lock yourself into one. I had my wife go in and talk for a bit then I went in to see what we could get separately. It’s worth the time.
At the time of this writing I put 2000km on her and enjoying every minute.
Side note-There’s a section on this forum that I found useful when my Auto Idle Shutoff seemed to stop working. I’m grateful for this forum. So many useful tidbits.
