I voted an 8. In my rural setting, I have averaged 24 MPG over the first 5,000 miles of driving - my HR-V averages 31.

I love so many things about the Elite: quiet, fast, great sound system, ample room for me and 3 or 4 adults, the heating/cooling controls for the passengers, wonderful exhaust note when accelerating which then appropriately goes away when cruising.
Truth be told, as much as I love the engine, I would give it up in a heartbeat if a hybrid was offered as an alternative.

How do you compare an HRV to a Passport?... An HRV (subcompact) 3100 lbs.1.8L 4 cyl. 141 hp A Honda Passport (Midsize/large category) 4300lbs. 3.5L V6 280HP (double the hp) It's like comparing a Honda Fit to a 2.0L Accord.
