I voted an 8. I was hoping the handling would be a little more nimble than it is and the heaviness of my arm flattens the padding on the armrest after a few miles. In my rural setting, I have averaged 24 MPG over the first 5,000 miles of driving - my HR-V averages 31.
I love so many things about the Elite: quiet, fast, great sound system, ample room for me and 3 or 4 adults, the heating/cooling controls for the passengers, wonderful exhaust note when accelerating which then appropriately goes away when cruising.
Truth be told, as much as I love the engine, I would give it up in a heartbeat if a hybrid was offered as an alternative.
