You could fold them up and consider they don't exist.

I recommend trying to get a custom sheepskin cover that would fit over it, if you wanted it wider, you could put some padding in the sheepskin!

With all due respect Gary, I can compare Apples to Oranges (LOL- read on):

They are both round
Typically, they are both about the same size
They both have an outer skin
They both have seeds
They both grow on trees
Their juices are both commonly drank with breakfast
They are both fruits
You can readily buy both a grocery stores
You can grow both at home
They both hurt when hurled at someone
