Hey Folks, over the weekend we made a deal on an Elite AWD Passport in Modern Steel metallic. The dealer didn't have the color we wanted in the Elite trim so they are working on locating one from a surrounding dealer but it's possible we'll be waiting a while for a factory fresh Passport.

We flip flopped for a while deciding whether to buy a '19 Acura RDX or Honda Passport. Ultimately, we sided with the Passport because of all the problems we've read about in the RDX.

The Passport will join our already Honda filled garage containing an '07 CRV plus a '12 Pilot. The Pilot is my personal favorite so I hope that I love the Passport as much or more.

As we wait for our Passport to be delivered we'll be lurking around the forum reading and learning. We intend to add various accessories ourselves, such as running boards, cross bars, hood deflector, door visors, etc.

Now, before I write a book, I'll leave it at that and go look at some of the beautiful Passport pictures on this forum as I impatiently wait for ours to be delivered.

We ordered a red Elite last week. The wait will give us time to clean up and sell out Mazda 3. The dealer estimated 8-10 weeks.

Welcome.

Modern steel metallic is the fastest as well as the best color for off-roading. :p

Thanks for the welcome guys! I have yet to see a Passport on the road so far but I imagine it won't be long before they're everywhere.

Scooter, I think there will also be an RDX in our future once they get all it's issues worked out. But I'm glad to be getting the Passport. I think the Passport suits our family/travel needs right now more than the RDX.

Mcrimm, our dealer is estimating we'll have something by the end of May. No promises but that is their guess. In the meantime we'll be ordering accessories for the new "toy".

407guy, glad there is confirmation on our color choice being the fastest. Deep down I knew it had to be! ? You located in central FL? We've spent our fair share of time in the Orlando area...Orlando was the first thing that came to mind when I saw 407.

Congratulations!

I had been waiting to get my modern steel as well, and finally brought it home Saturday! Getting accessories (moon roof shade, running boards, splash guards, door edge guards and all weather floor and cargo mats), put on Wednesday and will decide if it’s a boy ? or girl ?, and then choose a name.
