They are great when new, rather quiet on the highway. But the more they wear, the louder they get. By the end you can't wait to get rid of them.

Have you tried swapping/rotating the tire & wheel to the other side of the vehicle? Tread blocks (leading edge versus trailing edge) do not wear evenly which may contribute to tire noise.

Anybody consider going with the 18" Ridgeline wheels?

I've already acquired a set of 18" Ridgeline wheels, thread #10. I found a used set in excellent condition via Craigslist. Check Facebook Marketplace, too... acquired a set of CR-V wheels for my son. 18" Pilot wheels should fit, as well.

I can confirm, the stock tires on the Elite model are horrible in the rain. I don't know if it require some breaking in period, since it only have 500 miles, but I don't feel safe at all in the rain, especially running though puddles of water. I will upgrade to Nitto grappler 265/50/20 soon.

I drove 6 hours in the rain on Sunday, including running through standing water on the edge of the road. I prefer a different brand of tire than the OEM Continental, but any tire will hyrdoplane with standing water puddles. You have to ease off the gas and coast through the puddles. Otherwise, wet traction is fine and handling feedback of the Passport is very good.

The trade off with more aggressive tread is road noise.

Found an amazing local deal on spotless 2017 CRV rims. 18x7.5. What do you guys think? Might bust out photoshop. Anyone know if offset and bolt battern match PP?

No, CR-V wheels will not fit a Passport. Also, CR-V does not require TPMS sensors... has a more rudimentary system. See this thread on wheel specs.
