We recently purchased a modern steel elite passport.
Traded a 2004 pilot for the passport.
So far, we really like it.

The pilot was a 2004..... A completely different vehicle compared to the new passport or pilot. The 2004 pilot seems much smaller and is a much more simple design, from the stereo to all of the electronic assisted safety equipment, ie automatic breaking, lane change, etc.

Ah, that makes sense. I'm sure there have been a lot of changes in the Pilot in the past 15 years.

What has impressed me the most in our PP's and other contemporary vehicles is the increasing control and operation of the vehicle by computers. I used to joke that with the arrival of cruise control, all I need now is some way to steer the car, then I could go to sleep or read or enjoy the company in the car with me. Well, with lane-keeping assist and active cruise control that time has arrived. However, I don't recommend sleeping at the wheel. Technologically speaking we're in a brave new automotive world. Ah, that makes sense. I'm sure there have been a lot of changes in the Pilot in the past 15 years.

I do want to say, I sure hope that the passport holds up as well as our 04 pilot.
I do all of my own mech. work.... The pilot had 256,000 miles when we traded.
In that time, other then scheduled maintenance, the only repairs were, one front wheel bearing, rear window regulator, and one inner tie rod end. (at that time, I purchased a kit through moog, and replaced both inner and outer tie rods, along with both lower control arms)
The interior was in excellent shape as well as the exterior, (other then some hail damage)
In my 43 years of vehicle ownership, the honda pilot has by far been the most reliable.
