Picked up my Modern Steel Touring tonight and very excited to learn all the new features. Significant Other drives a 17 CR-V so I already understand most of the Honda Sensing features but will need to also learn some of the differences. This was one of the first cars I ever looked at where I instantly felt comfortable inside, perfect size, great seats and with all the features I wanted. Especially power folder mirrors for our tight garage. And the LED headlights driving home in the dark and rain tonight were amazing.

Thanks to all you out there in the forum as you provided a lot of good information as I planned this purchase and the Costco program made the sale easy. Now I just need to figure out all the settings. I was thinking most of the features would be similar to the CR-V and I'm finding some are, some aren't. Part of the fun of getting a new car!

Congrats on your new car. Hope you like it as much as I like mine. Bought my Elite Feb. 14th. I grew up in Johstown. Most of my family is there and Pittsburgh. Will be traveling to Western PA often from Fort Wayne, IN. My first accessory installed was my Steelers window decal. Looks good with my black pearl finish. ? I considered modern steel but they didn’t have any on the lot. Now my trips to PA will be in style and comfort. Next trip is Mid April. Enjoy your car!

Good point on the modern STEEL thing being from Pittsburgh. It never crossed my mind until now. The dealership didn't have the color either but they traded with another dealership to get me the color I wanted and I'm glad I stuck to it. Love the look with the trim and I wanted to be able to get the black interior. So far love the car although I've only had it for 24 hours. Traded in a Mercedes and friends are laughing at me saying it's probably not often someone gets really excited to be getting rid of a Mercedes to buy a Honda, but it all comes down to priorities and comfort. The Passport just nails it.

The second car in our household is a 2017 CRV. Like that car a lot too. Honda's have also run in our family, mostly Accords dating back to one of the original hatches in 1978. That old Accord was and still is my favorite as I learned to drive on it. Too bad it was a rust bucket and just fell apart.

I was surprised too but we did have 1 dealer in the Pittsburgh area participating. All models of Passports were listed for $1,200 over invoice at this point. (I did get AWD) I would expect that to come down after a while. In talking to another dealer closer to me that was not participating in the program, they stated they were selling at MSRP. Accessories were being sold at 15% off dealer price.

I know a few years ago in our area, Costco used TrueCar, but I was under the impression those prices varied based on other previous sales.

I'm not sure, but someone else might be able to chime in on that. I do know when we bought our CRV a couple of years ago through the same program and the same dealer that we got the car for about dealer cost. It could have been the TrueCar price but I didn't check.

Costco typically works with one particular dealer in each area and has their own fixed price for each car in the program. I tried using them when I bought but the Passport was too new to be in the program at that time.

Welcome Dave! I got the exact same Modern Steel, AWD Touring model and love it..!

I did not go thru Costco, I went thru Navy Federal Credit Union. I believe all miltary and or ex-military can join on-line for $5 and immediately access their Auto Buying Service, anyway my dealer showed me the Navy Fed CU listings and Touring and below was $995 over Invoice, while Elite was $1,250 over Invoice... (Disclaimer: This was for Southern California, not sure if these pries are the same across the US)
