Salisbury, NC guy and started vacation in my new 2019 Passport Elite AWD with Adventure Package in Crystal Black Pearl. Purchased August 15 and it’s really nice! I've had no problem with the nine speed in the NC/TN mountains; shifting has been smooth. It has been a delight to drive and has been very comfortable. I’m not an overland kinda guy but I believe I would have no problem getting into and out of some places I've dreamt of visiting. Never had a black car; man, is it pretty!

I just clocked 910 miles after a week of vacation in Tennessee. Used “sport” mode going up the grade on I-40 and, yes, it’s teally cool how it spoils up and stays there whenever you need it too.
I was pleasantly surprised by how great the Passport performed in the mountains compared to my previous 2019 Odyssey and the nine speed was actually very smooth.
Overall mpg for the entire week: 21 mpg with a heavy bias towards resort stop and go traffic with five full sized adults on board. Achieved 25.2 mpg on the return trip from Maggie Valley home with that 22 cubic foot rooftop cargo carrier loaded. I’m pleased.
Ride was a bit stiff at times depending on the road conditions but otherwise comfortable and very quiet, even with the carrier.
Everyone had a chance to drive it and all enjoyed how it handled and performed from the driver’s perspective.
I saw one other Passport the day we left and it’s the only one I’ve seen personally before or since purchase.
I really like the black and the vehicle as a whole.
I have the welcome side and tailgate lighting along with illuminated door sills installed next Tuesday. This car disappears at night, LOL!

I’m a 1980 WFU grad here. Lived there basically from 1976 until 2003, now in Salisbury. Good to hear from another person that is essentially local for discussion. Hit me up anytime.
