The transmission should not clunk when shifting from P to R, unless the weight of the vehicle is resting on the parking pawl (or if the fluid level is not correct, which should not be the case in our brand new PP). Use of the parking brake should prevent that (providing its set before you let off the brake pedal when parking). With that being said, it is a ZF9 transmission so who the hell knows lol!I occasionally hear a small non-metallic "clunk" when shifting from P to R, but nothing associated with turning. It sounds to me to almost a normal transmission shifting sound. As the PP is still new to me (3,650 miles and 3.5 months) is it it's normal operating sounds? Still enjoying the quietest SUV I've owned. Can't wait till winter to try out the Snow mode!
