Picked up the lighted running boards and installed them yesterday. I was a little nervous about doing it myself, but when the local Honda dealers wanted $280 - $320 to install them, that made the decision a little easier. The boards themselves cost ~$390 after tax. Took my sweet time installing them. Going into this, the parts of the install I was most concerned about and that took the longest are not what I was expecting. The little blue and white clips that hold the carpet down were a bugger to get off. All the trim panels came off easily, no issues with the clips. The grommets you install in the floor took a long time to get exactly in place, that was honestly what took the longest because of the trial-and-error getting them seated just right. I did not have to remove any undercoating, none of it was in the way of the brackets. Funny - two of the bolt holes for the brackets were full of mud on account of we have mud wasps here and they decided to make home, so those needed to be cleaned out. The instructions refer to a connector called "other accessory harness" which the running board wiring plugs into. This Passport didn't have those. It did have the standard accessory harness (it's just a 2-pin connector) on each side. They are way up inside the paneling and not easy to get to, especially on the driver side. I really had to hunt to find them. In the end, it was pretty easy to install the boards, and I'm glad I decided to do it myself. I did get to see them light up last night after it got dark. I was expecting a strip of lights, but there are only 2 lights per board - they are positioned so one lights up the ground outside the front door and the other the rear door.

Can you upload some night pics so we can see them in their full glory?

I was expecting more from the puddle lights under these running boards. Within a year of purchase, two of the bulbs stopped working. Dealership replaced all four bulbs on warranty but I noticed one is still out so back at the dealership.
