I have to say that out of all the Hondas that I have had this one has got to be the best so far...pros=I love the ride height ,the smaller wheel base and weight reduction compared to my 2014 pilot and 2017 Ridgeline give it a faster take off speed with the sound of a sporty exhaust ..I love all the options that the touring model comes with especially the sound system it sounds great. Honda jerked me with my Ridgeline RTL-T with nothing touring about it except for the navigation..didn't even have a sun roof..this is my first real touring model..I love the wheel and tire combo even though it is a little rough on bad roads..The finance manager at honda tried very hard to sell me tire and rim replacement for an extra 25 bucks a month because of the low profile rims and the big pot holes we get here in New York city in the winter but I declined .After driving the car a couple of days im beginning to think I should have taken that deal.We got a little snow today about three inches that turned to sleet then rain and the temps dropped so the roads where very slushy and icy in some spots I drove on the highway about 30 minutes to and from my kids school and I have to say didn't feel it slip once in snow mode..the only cons I have about this car is not having a middle console to lean on(like the one I had in my 2014 pilot) when I drive and now with the push button tranny I now have no where to rest my right hand when im driving...the only change I would do to this car is a more off road/on road tire ,wheel combo where you have a smaller wheel ,larger tire .I will keep updating when I have issues to share...
Picked mine up Saturday. First impressions are all positive. The thing that stuck me the most was the overall visability when driving. It feels very open. Seats are comfortable. Handles like a Honda (we have 2 other Hondas in the driveway) which is a good feeling. Still getting used to the engine/tranny combo. Feels heavy but I have not gotten into it yet and I also drive a boosted F-150 that has tons of get up n go so this one will take some getting used to.

Interesting for your followup maybe when more settled in. I'm currently in a 150 need something smaller. when I go into the city its close to impossible to park! I've have to park further out and take cabs
Did you get your recall alert yet ? Honda can't let any Passports off their lots until they get telematic updates. My salesperson stopped delivery on mine tomorrow and can't give me a delivery date. He said ALL Passports have to be brought back in .....
Overall impression after having for not quite two weeks...LOVE IT! Yes, I’m a bit annoyed I had to take it in for the recall already but it’s fixed and no worries now. Think nowadays there will always be something as there are sooooo many electronic on vehicles. I love the size. I have always wanted something in between the CRV and Pilot with the bigger engine and here it is! I like the power, you sit up higher, less road noise than my previous Pilots and love all the bells and whistles in the Touring.. probably way more than needed.. I think it’s a little bit stiffer suspenion than the ‘16 Pilot. I haven’t tried it out in snow or icy roads yet, but believe the AWD Is like my old Pilot and that handled well. One thing I would have liked is the USB plug to play iPod to be hidden in console like the Pilot. The one in the console is for charging only so you have to use the one that is out and I don’t like leaving the iPod in plain sight. Also, I’m not sure of the placement of the blindspot alerts. I think they would be better on the mirrors or at least not set back so far. I’m hoping in time I’ll get more used to it. Time will tell on reliability..

I’ve seen the transmission complaint and glaring radio screen from paid reviews. How about actual owners? Any thoughts.

Tomorrow marks 2 weeks of ownership. I traded in a 2013 Honda CRV for an Obsidian Blue Elite. Prior to the CRV, I drove a 2004 Honda Pilot. My initial opinions:
(1) CRV drove and felt like a car. Passport drives and feels like a truck. The feel is much bigger than the CRV. LOVE sitting up high on the road again and the expansive view. Really easy and enjoyable to drive. Although reliable, I immediately regretted my gray CRV. Felt like like throwing in the towel on middle age. Boring bordering on depressing, IMO. Passport brings excitement back.
(2) I've seen the industry complaints about the transmission. I've noticed no shifting issues - very smooth. The lag in power comes from the Econ button. The Econ button on CRV made a noticeable difference in power - but the impact is MUCH greater for the PP. Unless coasting on the highway, I don't think its usable. It definitely creates a multi-second lag in go time from a stop. If you test drive a PP, make sure its off. Second, I think the perception of a power lag comes from the fact that, compared to CRV or other lighter cars, you need to press accelerator down more to go and the brakes down more to stop. Its like a driving style adjustment.
(3) My biggest complaint by far is that I FEEL every lump, bump, ridge, hole in the road. I was looking forward to improvement here over the CRV, but PP is at least as bad. Boo. Maybe it's the tire size, the low-profile, the suspension? Don't know. Very disappointing. I really can't see how going off-road would be enjoyable. Seems like passengers would be miserable and kids would be crying. Don't know.
(4) We have a 50's style 2 car garage. Parking is tight and much harder than CRV. I need to see exactly where the truck starts and ends, but can't. 360 or front cameras would have REALLY helped. Parking sensors are not helpful for nailing a 2-3" sweet spot. I assume I'll get it down eventually. But it's been hard so far trying to park AWAY from everyone else as much as possible.
(5) Driving the PP is so good that you forget or almost about the small annoyances that bug you before you buy. Especially exterior things like the taillights, for example. As long as no one hits you, does it really matter if they're half sized?
(6) The heated steering wheel is big. I totally get that heated steering is unnecessary. However, I live in MN. My drive to work yesterday was -2; today 5 degrees. I used to drive home from work with gloves on and my hands would hurt, radiate with pain from cold the whole way. If your hands are ice cold from the wheel, you feel very cold even with seat heaters and vents. Conversely, if you're hands are warm, you feel warmer even if seats and vents are cold. It makes a big difference for the driver, IMO.

My impression of owning my Passport since 02-15-2019 is in a nut shell “Great” vehicle..
The ride is not soft and not hard, just a feel of solid suspension and quality. The styling to me feels very traditional, nothing crazy , kind of a old school SUV.
Passport feels like it is up high, but then it hugs you like it wants to take care of you, I know it sounds goofy, most opinions are personal.
What I don’t like about it is ???????, can’t think of anything..

But when you know that the car you own right now is the best vehicle you ever owned, a person doesn’t mind repairing it or keeping it look nice. That is where I am at the age of 66, owning more vehicles then I care to count, knowing that this is my last vehicle, and it is my best one, that gives me great satisfaction and peace of mind.
There is better vehicles out there, for what ever reasons, but for me living in Minnesota, and I love to travel, I couldn’t be happier!

Have had ours since Jan 31 and we are at 1,500 miles. First comment is on the transmission. Zero complaints. It actually shifts so smoothly I cannot tell when it shifts or what gear it is in. Downshifts are also not an issue. I like it 100% better than the cvt in our former CRV. I have commented on here before that the smooth power delivery is a real strong point of the Passport. We like the push button shift.
Glare on the screen is not an issue. On any car in certain conditions it can produce a glare but it is no worse or better than anything I have driven.

Love the way the car drive and handles. Comments about poor damping control are not accurate. The magazine article that referenced skid pad data does not fit the use or purpose of his car. In daily driving it is very quiet, smooth, and comfortable to drive. Sound system is the best I have ever owned, love it. We have zero complaints. Mileage is 23-24 for mixed driving and it is awd.
We are very happy with our decision and would absolutely say we have no regrets. After 3 CRV'S we were ready for something a little bigger but did not want or need three rows. We found what really suits our needs. I am 6'3" and there is room everywhere in the Passport.
We shopped all the competition in that size and price range including Acura and Lexus. Liked Passport the best.

Its the telematics control unit recall where they have to replace a module and update software behind your dash..its on the general discussion forum.
Bahaha! I actually think it sounds SO MUCH BETTER than the CRV horn. I am happy.
