Second that. Did a road trip in the Volvo XC90 and compared to those ventilated seats the PPs are just noise with no results.

Yes at three bars fan power, they are loud. When I first had my seat at the power level I thought I had one of the back windows open! They are not connected to the A/C system and are meant to provide a small level of comfort in the hottest weather, the "not stick to the seat" comfort. I leave mine at the one bar fan speed and its a nice level for me.

I might go down a level to the Touring just because of these seats . If they were better I would have felt the price bump was justified. Really nothing else in the Elite seemed enough for me to warrant the extra cost.

I think they are OK, and I do notice when they are on - couple times I have turned them off because my azz got too cool! If you move yourself ever so slightly away from the seat back, so you are not pressing directly against it - that's when you really feel it. Not suggesting to do that permanently, of course but just so you can tell they really are moving cold air. You really need to have the car AC on for them to be worth while using, otherwise they are just blowing unconditioned cabin air. They are not as good as the ventilated seats in the Toyota Avalon I used to have, but they are still good. Elder, agreed - at 3 blue lights power, you can hear the fan.

I think our expectations of them are a bit high. They don't create a "breeze", but I can sometimes feel them more depending on the pants/shirt I'm wearing. The "High" setting is only good if you have the audio pumping good and are driving on down the freeway. The high-pitched "jet whine" sound is disturbing. Anyone else notice the high whiny motor sound from the fans on the high setting?
I guess cooled seats are mean't so you don't have a wet shirt back and a wet butt from sitting in leather on a 90+ degree day. I'm hoping they at least prevent that. Wish you can still get a high line vehicle with cloth seats. Cloth= you don't need to cool and you usually don't need to heat them.

Some how in the last 10 years or 20 years... leather has become synonymous with expensive/quality/ high level. I don't view as such.. especially if the leather is not supple.... ours is a bit "stiff"... LOL. I had a Cadillac with buttery leather you wanted to melt into... these... not so much... Leather today is yesterday's vinyl ... Love the car.. wish you could get cloth in nice trims.

I thought the exact thing! My passenger seat was on and my hydro flask was blocking the bars on the console. I thought it was a window, moon roof or door! I turned off all vents and kept stopping and checking all the doors, nothing. Then I took a drink of water and saw the bars for the vents! ?‍♀

They do very little to keep me from sticking, I finally ended up with a kitchen tea towel on my seat. I’m in So Cal by the beach so using the AC when it’s 70* is stupid, but in shorts, I stick to the seat!

Dear fellow PP seat commentators. We must keep in mind our PP's are SUV's and were designed for "adventure" living and driving. If you require "buttery soft" well-ventilated seating, perhaps you have the wrong vehicle. Just a thought on the matter.

2nd this. Compared to my previous two vehicles these seats cooling aspect is poor. Better than nothing. In an otherwise excellent vehicle I am surprised.

They aren’t as good as I thought they would be, but they are still pretty awesome. Gives you just enough to keep cool on those 90+ days. They are mildly loud on the high setting, but that’s a non-issue to me because it’s not even that bad
